The first image is really refreshing , great style.
And I agree with Eric, ditch those block cars from the last image.

RE: Hospital Wayfinding Schematic Design Presentation Sheets
Really nice presentation sheets. Great work.
Apart from that I also think its altogether a bit too busy a bit too many cars and all together a bit confusing as to what is the main object of presentation. My suggestion would be to keep the color on the main focal objects while everything else like people and cars remain in monochrome or sepia tone. -
RE: A few new exterior shots
Great work, the first image really looks like a photograph.

RE: Stage lighting test
Thanks Tina.
When I get some free time I will continue a tutorial that I already started. Not on this scene but another one. -

What a stunning use of multilight, I would suggest your client would have been VERY impressed
Richard,
Thanks, really appreciate your feedback.
Its a bit more work but I can tell you this really helps to sell the project. -
RE: Stage lighting test
Thanks Daniel.
Actually I forgot to say, non of these are final renderings but a demonstration to show the effect of different light source positioning. There are over 40 different light sources here in this model. They were set up in SketchUp and demonstration was done in Maxwell render using the Multilight function. This is a one of the great features of Maxwell Render. Lighting is probably one of the most important single elements in creating the right interior scene mood. The great thing with the Multilight feature is once you have completed your rendering you can present it to the client by combining the lighting effects by switching off ,turning down, generally playing with all the switches demonstrating the effects of each single light source. Since I do a lot of interior design this is something that really helps to sell the project.

Stage lighting test
Here are some trial tests shots I did for a client to show show my idea of how lighting should be set up on the stage and around it.

Thanks for the links Guys.
I looked half way through the first Video.I will continue when
I get some time.
Makes you wonder where the world is going to. -
RE: Where do I start with rendering software
Bob,
Beautiful images, especially the last three.
I used most of these packages that you mention and in my opinion as Pete suggests
Vue is the right choice for landscape photoreal work. Piranesi is something of an
artist touch but in any case there is no press a button solution as yet
to transform these great looking SketchUp scenes into a rendering application and
getting instant results. There is a lot of post process work to be done whatever
you decide upon. -

Medium poly models that can be used for renders and look pretty realistic.
Pete,
I think this is a good idea worth exploiting further. These are some of the weak spots that can spoil even the best render. It would be good to be able to complete the whole modeling and set up process in SketchUp itself. -
RE: Hello everyone
Ableh,
Welcome to the forum and if you have any problems feel free to ask. -
RE: Maxwell render 2.0
And this is great news too:

A tiny tip of the iceberg: a new feature will enable users to do a search in the MXM gallery website, directly from the MXM browser on their computers. Users can search by material name, keywords, color and category. A material from the search results can be directly drag/dropped into a scene or onto an object - it will be automatically unzipped. More information will be released in due time, when we are ready to make that information public.

RE: Retail Display Wall
Toxic,
Nice work, I like it. This kind of design is very popular in mobile phone
showrooms. Where do you plan to obtain fittings, have them made or buy
finished ? I do a lot of retail design and did a couple of similar interior
designs. Here is a good recource for similar shop systems I used on
one occasion. Two series Fluo wall and Fluo partition:

I think you may have something there. Things like water, paving, grass, ground cover are all usually the weak spots especially in renderings, maybe down the line you could develop the rendering weak spots.
I agree , average guy out there wants minimum effort with maximum possible results, minimal learning curve ,SketchUp is there for modeling but still there are weak spots in getting this final output right when rendering and post process is in question. I think there is a great potential market here.
