    • RE: Can we use sketchup 7.1 free version for commercial purpose

Since there is no place you can download the free SU, I have a question :
So lets say a person decided to start with SU because its free for commercial work and invested years working with it.What happens if he loses the installation file ?

A question : Is this the place where you can officially download the free version of SU 8 ?
It says that links would be available until May 20th, 2015.

      Just a moment...

@Neets - Oh come on I saw your designs.I have no idea how you achieved some of the qualities in there. My whole experience is cutting boxes and cubes in order to create something πŸ˜„

    • RE: Hristov's thread

Hello This is my first attempt to bring one of my sketchup models to a more presentable level. I'm really not sure how it turned out, so far the comments I get from family and friends are not very warm. But at the same time they can't tell me whats wrong . So I was wondering if you could give me any feedback.I'm curious what are your thoughts in general about the image. Thanks !

    • RE: Hristov's thread

@pbacot - Thank you πŸ˜„ ! Yeah I should ask them more in depth. The thing about the dots was that I tried to suggest dust particles which glow because they are lit by the red eye of the mecha, although I feel like I went a little bit over the top with that πŸ˜„Heh puppy yeah , this is a great idea !! πŸ˜„ I really, really want to add a puppy, but not sure if it would be up to my abilities. πŸ˜„ From the start I should have changed the composition. The crop is incredibly strange ..... it suggest that the robot is looking at something but at the same time the composition is almost cut in half.If I add something it would create so much technical problems, I'm not sure if I would be able to finish it.

Btw here is a pic of the leg movement, I had some questions how the leg functions πŸ˜„

    • 2 really noob questions :D

Hello I want to ask how to undo a ctrl + Z, because sometime I press it by chance when I want to save πŸ˜„ My other question is what shall I do if I want to use the Move tool on one of the 3 axis when the bug happens and it doesn't matter how many times I try, the lines or faces just don't go into the right axis. Thanks πŸ˜„

    • Subdivision modeling ?

Hello I was wondering, can you refer to me any good subdivision modeling tutorials for sketchup? If you have any tips that would be great as well. I know there are few in Youtube which are real time and they are very good. But the thing is that I never modeled before and sketchup is my first 3D program. So using and understanding subdivision is a little bit hard for me. I was wondering is there anyway to cut the whole process of trial and error and to get some tips or whatever which will make it easier to me while learning. Thank you !
