    • Scale a tube uniformly

      Hi all,

      I'm trying to find out if it is possible to scale a tube uniformly. I mean, if you have a look at the attached image, it is possible after have created it to enlarge the diameter of the tube?

      Or change the diameter of such an object?

      Many thanks for your support in advance.

    • RE: Start SU in select mode tool

      Jean,

      You are right, but if you start SU with the provided icon and you wants to open a sketchup file you are still in drawing mode. That's no logic behind 😄
      I was making a lot of mistakes starting and selecting somethings but instead of that I was always drawing some lines.
      BTW, most of the time I start with a box and not with lines.

      @TIG

      You are my hero! This is exactly that was I was searching for! Thank you also for the list. Can use it maybe for create some toolbars entries.

    • Start SU in select mode tool

      Hi all,

      I'm wondering how to make possible to start SU in selecting mode instead of the draw line mode.

      Was searching for that but nothing found. Even in the settings there is no possibility to do that.

      Any suggestions?

    • RE: UV Mapping for beginners

      @numbthumb

      Thank you very much for your reply.

      I did that like numeradona until now but I'm not sure if this would have an impact on the file size. As I mentioned the modeled object will be used in a game and the goal is to make smaller files as possible.

      There are two method that I can see: import an image file for every material that I want to apply or make an image file (2048x2048 pixels) and put there all textures in that file and then import this file and use it for all material assignment.

      Not sure what kind of method would be the better one.

    • UV Mapping for beginners

      Hi all,

      I'm searching for a good video tutorial regarding UV Mapping in SU. I'm developing some objects for a game engine and I have not found until now a really good tutorial on how to UV map textures for SU. As an example I want to texture a building with different kind of facades textures, windows, doors etc.

      Somebody that can point me to the right direction? This for sure for a newbie.
