    • RE: CPU Overheating Question

yeah, cleaning those intakes, and moving it off the wall 2" seems to have fixed it! the cpu is staying between 58 and 70*c.

can I blast some air into that cpu from outside the case thru that grill? I don't want to take anything apart from inside.

This pc is in the office not the shop.

    • CPU Overheating Question

I've been getting cpu overheating messages at boot up, and the computer has been shutting down to 'prevent damage'.

I checked and both outside screens at A and B were clogged up with lint, and both those fans are spinning. Which one is the CPU? Sorry I don't know much about these things.

Is C also a fan? I can't see it spinning, is it behind a housing? if that is a fan I maybe found the overheating problem, that side of computer case was right tight against the wall behind it?

Juju, how can I uncorrupt those drivers, or download new ones? My motherboard only has updates for win 8 and earlier, none for win 10.

stupid question but how would I get the ports fixed, by replacing them by opening up the computer and installing a new one?

    • Transferring files without working USB ports

**Folks, I need some advice from computer people familiar with the devices and gismos available today.

I have a problem transferring files to or from my win 10 computer via USB, I’ve been getting g help at the MS support site to figure out, but it might just be that all my usb ports are bad as this is an older computer. What are some other ways to transfer files? I also want to get photos off of my iphone.**

    • Monitor Cables

So, I'm going from a 22" to a 32" monitor, set it up on my desk, it's huge! Hooked the diff cables up, went to plug the monitor cable in to the computer, and they're different sizes? What do I need to make this work?

    • Device or hardware To Move Monitor In And Away

I need some hardware that would enable me able to pull my monitor closer in to my face, so I don't need to lean forward so much which strains the old back! Google isn't helping as I don't know what this would be called. Something like a drawer slide?

It would need to mount to the counter, or maybe to the wall which is 20" behind the monitor. Anyone have any suggestions, or at least what this is called??

      this is the setting.
