The reason why it doesn't work on your "real" OS is because Safari handles javascript requests higgledy-piggledy. JS sends a bunch of informations to ruby, and safari says "oh well, let's just put all of this into the trash and keep only the last one".
So much for a real OS.
Even though I'm happy to take request, I primarily develop this plugin for myself. And I don't really like MacOS (The OS itself, Apple's politic, etc...), so I'm not really motivated to develop Layers Panel for it. Guess what? People coming here smugly, telling me that their OS is superior, and should be the one and only, don't really motivate me much more!
