Well, they came. They all came just today, but they came. What does that mean?

Go to the forum index and click 'Delete all board cookies'. See if that fixes the problem.
Ok, let's see.

Missing email notifications
The Community Voices forum is locked, so I'm posting this here.
I'm no longer getting email notifications when topics are updated. Is this related to the recent server issues?

RE: IPhone SketchUp Web Model
Hi Abe,
Is that a new interface for Hypecosm? I haven't seen the "SketchUp" interface before.
Also, any chance getting an exporter for the free sketchup?

CabinetCruncher Cutlist Software
Just stumbled upon this today. It looks to be cabinet design, modeling, and cutlist software - SketchUp enabled.

Is this your project, Todd?

RE: Installers for plugins.
On a side note, I've been running the idea around my brain of an installer for plugins which are only one file. It would be run from within Sketchup, could check for updates, and then backup, and download the script to the correct location.
It wouldn't be hard, except for finding/writing reliable network code might be tricky.

RE: Ability to add more 'root' menus
a4chiterct,
I've had the same thought but, what's going to keep the root menu from growing as large and unorganized as the Plugins menu?

RE: [Obsolete] Joint Push Pull
Wow, great plugin! You must have spent many hours working on it. Thank you.

Nudge was the first script that used the arrow keys to nudge all sorts of stuff http://www.smustard.com/script/Nudge.
The Move Wizard in RpTools/Space Design also moves everything http://forums.renderplus.com/wiki/index.php?title=RpTools#Move_Wizard but works in PCs only.
I'm planning on trying a new move-like Tool that is keyboard only. I don't care for the dialog myself. I think with a well written instructions, intuitive functions, and using only keyboard with modifiers; a new mover could be a efficient tool.
I think I'll go try Jan's jsMoveTool now...

Hi,
I use RDE (good and custom highlighting) along with the Ruby toolbar by J.Foltz.
Clicking on an icon to load a rb is much faster than using the Plugins/Load script menu.
I also made myself an icon to test each new function.Didier, Thanks for the recommendation. The latest version can always be had here

nice tip didier, thanks. btw is it possible to have the ruby console accept entire paragraphs of script instead of only a line?
Maybe WebConsole. I use it sometimes for testing longer snippets.

RE: Voronoi, convex hull, geometry modification toolset
@a4chitect said:
the convex hull generation is pretty solid (works far more reliable than the voronoi solution) but the workflow is awkward for realtime generation - since the plugin exports vertices to a file and then calls qhull.exe which writes the results to a file, then these results are built in SU. i don't know much about the actual algorithm behind the calculation - please refer to http://www.qhull.org/html/qconvex.htm
It may be awkward, but it's a valid technique which I didn't think to use before. The source code for qhull is available and a native plugin could possibly be compiled, and a sketchup-ruby interface made. I've heard it's not terribly difficult, but then I've not tried it.

RE: Reverse faces to match... ruby.
One technique I remember from here is to assign a shortcut to Reverse Faces, then select the PushPull tool because it does auto-select on hover. Then, hover the PushPull tool over each face and hit the shortcut key - it makes quick work of it.

RE: Greeble plugin for Sketchup?
Yikes, he looks mean!
I haven't given up, but it is true I haven't done any work on it. The SketchUp and Ruby are things I do for my own entertainment, and they often take a backseat to my other commitments.I wish I could give a definite time. Even so, keep pushing me...
