Sorry I can't be more help with the ArchiCAD to SU transfer but I do have a solution to my original post. It turns out you have to save down to SketchUp 7. We figured this out a couple weeks ago but thought I'd share and put a bookend on this one. Thanks for everyone's input.

That is what I was afraid of. Thanks for your help. Unfortunately I am trying to find a job based in part on my ability to model in SketchUp so I may need to invest in the home desktop/media centerI've been wanting. I've always been supporter of Nvidia over ATI anyway. Thanks again!
