    • RE: Odd Glitch- Clicking Surfaces

Well I'm not sure about that, I'm new to this computer. This is my computer at work, and all I know about it is that it is an Intel Core Duo @ 2.20 GHz with 2GB RAM.

I imagine a new video/graphics card that works with opengl would indeed solve the problem for good.

Yea I've realized that, and have been playing around with the settings a bit.
It seems to happen some of the time Accel is on, but never when it is off. Using the reverse selecting bug thingy didn't seem to change much. And fast feedback I only use when accel is off.

Right now its working with accel ON, reverse picking driver bug OFF, fast feedback OFF.
Oddly enough thats where I started haha. SO who knows, but atleast when it pops up I now know where to change it.

Either way, I can work still work 100 times faster when i can actually click on the surfaces, than when it loads quickly but I have to 'line draw' everything.

I'm happy I can just finish my project with my wits about me. I nearly tossed the monitor across the office earlier.

      Thanks Again!

Alright, that didn't help on one of my drawings, so I unclicked hardware accel and the box for reversed picking driver bug and now I seem to be golden.

Hope this helps people in the future who come and do a search

      genius, pure f@#ing genius.

Problem hopefully solved. It stated 'DO NOT CLICK THIS, unless you are having trouble selecting surfaces'.

I thought thank god, i knew it was something simple.

      Thanks you so very much

    • Odd Glitch- Clicking Surfaces

I've been working on a model for work and I have recently been tested by an increasingly frustrating issue.
Background :Its a single story building, mostly bare interior, surely not that complex...
Problem: If I go to click on a surface (window pane for example) it will ignore that surface and choose the one behind it (the face of the back of building). It happens with 90% of the surfaces, both transparent and not.

This drives me insane, since the push/pull will grab the floor inside the building instead of making a square column wider. It will paint the floor with a material instead of changing that of my facade.

      Now it gets interesting.
The problem goes away if I copy the entire file (copy/paste) and put it in a new file. However, it always returns eventually.
It does not seem that the files are corrupted or anything of the sort, and I'm fairly sure that when I copy them over to my Macbook the problem goes away.

I am running windows XP on a 6 month old Dell. (Now that I think about it, this problem didn't exist until I switched from Vista to XP last week)

Any help would be greatly appreciated
