I'm trying to clean up my model which became a memory monster. Please, recommend a plugin which can list the number of faces/edges for every component and group in a model so I can quickly find the heaviest objects.

      Thanks

No there isn't, but it's a good thought. SketchUp's transactions are sequential - you couldn't Undo an action out of order, if that is what you have in mind.

But it is possible to write an Undo List plugin which would work exactly like using the Undo/Redo buttons do already; except with a list.

I'm OK with inability to undo out of order but I find myself clicking the menu instead of hitting Ctrl-Z just because I need to see what exactly I am about to undo. A simple list of actions would be great help.

    • Painting the walls

I created a model of my house. I have one big group of external walls and several groups of internal adjacent walls.
Now I am planning to start painting the house inside and outside and I realized that if I want to apply a material to the interior of one room I need to "paint" several faces in different groups which could be quite tedious especially if I want to experiment with different materials.

How can I organize the walls so that the faces belonging to the same room can easily be applied with the same material (preferably, keeping my current separation into external and internal groups for model navigation with hide/unhide)?

      Thanks.

Fredo's scale plugin has an option for stretching. So if you want to stretch the rail it will not effect the width of the stile it is here http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=17948&hilit=freedo+scale

Wow! Fredo is amazing and gives me exactly what I was looking for and much more interesting features. Anyway, I also had a look at dynamic component tutorial...

      Thanks to you all, guys.

    • Partial component scaling

When I have a window composed from a glass sheet and a frame how do I create a component which when scaled maintains the width of the frame and the glass. I'd like to be able to scale the window freely without specifying the exact dimensions numerically in the components properties. Should I use dynamic component or there are simpler solutions? Can you recommend me something similar in the 3D Warehouse?

      Thanks.
