I am using Tools/Text, i choose a location to start the leader, place the text and edit. Click on next location for next Text input and it won't choose a location until i choose a location, Esc, choose again, Esc and then it works.
Further more if i just add one text and a leader and then choose to draw a line the ability to choose where to start the line is missing and untill i, for instance, change Scene and back again that resets the snap.

RE: Crash after adding a new scene

Some people have had success with working around this issue by making sure Enable Scene Transitions is ticked in Model Info/Animation.
Brilliant - this worked - was driving me crazy and i had tried everything!

Crash after adding a new scene
I am being plagued with crashes since upgrading to Windows 11.
Here i another one.
Using the scenes tab at top of drawing - Add a scene to the existing scene and rename the scene.
Return to the previous scene by clicking the previous scene tab and BUGSPLAT. Works every time and took me a long time to realise the problem.

RE: Windows 11 dual screens
I have just loaded a drawing that was several years old and noted the reminder that poped up.
There was not problem in displaying the 3 'trays' on my second screen.
The workaround to opening my recent drawings is to Hide each tray and to then to Show each tray

RE: Windows 11 dual screens
I have found a workaround. If i hide each tray and then unhide them it corrects the problem.

I gave it a quick test and it's working for me.
PC specs: 12th i9-12900K, 64 gb ram, 1 tb m.2 and RTX 3080. Win 11 Pro
Screen 1: Dell U3818DW (38" 4K curved wide panel) and Screen 2: Dell S3219D (32" 1440 wide panel)I perhaps should elaborate.
I have the main drawing open on screen 1 and the trays on screen 2. In fact when I first open a drawing the trays are frozen and the only way to get things going is to delete and reinstall the trays.

Windows 11 dual screens
I have upgraded to Windows 11 and use dual monitors.
I am using the second screen to display my 'Trays' 3 of them.
On loading a drawing the trays don't fully display and some of the dialogs in the tray are shown blacked out. See attachment.
I can rectify this each time I load a file by deleting and re-installing the tray.

RE: Sketchup pro update
@dave r said:
Each version of SketchUp installs as a separate program. It doesn't overwrite the previous version. When I migrate to a new version I make a screen shot of the previous version showing my toolbar arrangement. Then I import that image into the new one to use as a reference for placing my toolbars. Makes it easier to see what goes where. I also use it as a time to do some cleaning to get rid of tools I don't really need on my toolbars.
I understand and that is what I do. However even though I am fairly proficient with SU Prro it really puts me off updating my software.
Needs a rethink. -
Sketchup pro update
Whenever I update my Sketchup Pro software i loose all my personal Toolbox setup and icons and i cannot find a way to restore the layout.
