Very nice. I like them all but the dusk scene in particular.

Pocket Knife
A bit messy on the main blade, but I'm happy with how it turned out. C&C welcome!

Elite! Always amazed at how poly-conscious you are. Limited file size without diminishing detail.

There is no contradiction being a beginner and being a talented modeler.
True, but he's hurting my intermediate ego.

Very impressive. How dare you call yourself a beginner!

RE: [Plugin] Geodesic Dome Creator 0.2.0
Thanks again. The vertices display alone makes this plugin awesome. I was pulling my hair out a few months ago trying to model what you've enabled in a plugin.
I'm sure you know, but the 'strut' radius option doesn't work. It'd be nice to see the settings previously input within the menu upon returning, not sure if this is doable.
Just starting some test renders now of my geodesic's interior!

RE: 3D CONSTRUCTION MODELING
Absolutely increible! Just to clarify, is this a demonstration of Sketchup used in this type of application or an actual project? Do you work for a general contractor? Are these preconstruction visuals?
I ask because I managed the BIM coordination process for Stanford's Bio/Chem Engineering Lab and each Subcontractor contributed their own file for coordination in navisworks, aside from the architectual elements which were pulled from the Architect's revit file. The wet/dry mechanical contractors fabricated directly from their CAD file, as did the fire protection Sub, eliminating the possible use of sketchup. I contributed scope gap models via Sketchup to navisworks, but nothing so substantial.
Anyway, great job and thanks for sharing!

Beam me up!
Careful of realism though, this might be taken as evidence by some.

RE: Hyperloop Terminal
Thanks all!
Ken, I'm a big fan of your work, it put any doubts of using sketchup professionally to rest.
I love the transformation you made. Thank you for putting in the time to show me what's possible. I'm new to photoshop and find the tutorials online to be verbose and overwhelming, although I felt the same about Sketchup at one point. Looks like I need to put in a few thousand hours of tinkering. Thanks again!

Hyperloop Terminal
Inspired by Musk's Hyperloop proposal.
Looking for protips on postprocessing. I cooked the top three images in Thea's TR2 engine for ~400 waves. The fireflies aren't leaving. Thoughts on lighting? Thoughts on monochromatism?

RE: Anyone want a fight ?
The detail is mind-blowing and presentation is perfect. How long did this take you, start to finish? Thanks for sharing!

RE: Latest Work: Exhibition Space
Incredible! The ceiling in particular IMO is stunning. The only question I have: are the mechanical diffusers 2D? They appear to be flat, tapering 2D surfaces. Bulkier blades or 3D would be stellar! But, I'm a noob, aspiring to do what you do, so... enough said.

RE: Geodesic Dome from Script
Starting a project tomorrow evening with this plugin as the foundation. I'll be sure to post the final product here and reference you elsewhere. Thanks again!

definitely where things are going. Also nano structures for organ generation.
Maybe the bionic man or woman will not be clunky parts stuck into the body but delicate nano structures grown into the organic and vice versa.
Sure! The Kurzweilian cult of Singularity persuasively paints a picture like that. As does any Juan Enriquez TED talk. From nanotech to bioengineering, it's exciting to see more applications of 3D modeling. Hopefully AI falls behind and doesn't make us all inadequate!

Coronary Stent
Inspired by the possibility of nanoscale 3D printing!
Can't seem to find signature settings in the UCP....

Chemistry Lab Interior
First post!
These arch visuals were inspired by a recent project at Stanford I was a part of, managing the BIM process for the GC.
Crits welcome. I'm 6 months into Sketchup, 2 months into Thea, and just picked up Photoshop.
Compare to three months ago:
