      lol.....I crab off of the oregon coast(pacific northwest), We crab for a different type of crab here.

      as for the game, Its a farming simulator. I wanted to implement a crop duster into it because the only way to spray the fields on there at the momment is with a small slow sprayer that you drag behind the tractor.

      It has been almost a year since I have posted on here (or used sketchup for that matter).
      I was gone for work(commercial crabbing) and since I was away from land most of the time I have not been able to get online.

      Alot of you prob. dont remember me, When I joined I had only slight experience with 3d modeling/rendering.I have been catching up on my 3d work for the past 3 weeks and have been mainly using Skutchup for making mods for a couple PC games.I decided to make a few Kerkythea renders from a model I made yesterday.

      Thanks for the tip...The texture i was using in that model was a KT texture And I still have not found out how to import my KT meterials into SU.So i guess i need to resize them in KT before rendering.I know how to do that though.

      Yeah iam kinda new to the whole rendering,texturing process so i thought i would give it a shot.Plus i think it would be cool to have my own texture library that i can edit,use and share.I going through all the TUTs right now for it,I am hoping i can share and show off some new textures next week or so.

      OK i was searching the web for some kind of free texturing software and I ran across a product called Allegorithmic MAPZONE 2.I was just posting here to get some opinions on wether its a good or not.I mean its free so you cant complain to much. πŸ˜•

      I was messing around with HDR lighting and ies mesh lighting.I layered 2 ground plains one on top of the other and I textured the bottom with a Metal mirror style texture and the top with Dilectic glass.I used a mettalic/gloss green car paint on the sphere.
      I am going to subdivide the sphere a couple more times to get a smoother look on it.
      I will post it when its finished rendering.

      I am a noobie to...Only been modeling for about 6 months.
      I can almost garantee that you will find all the help you can get.
      if you go to the KT section of this forum you can also find very useful
      info about KT.
      Now i have question for you. ❓
      The wood texture outlining the bookshelf looks great..I am having a problem resizing my texture to that size but it always seems tiny 😒 so if you know how or u can tell me where you got that texture that would be great.Thnx

      Yeah I noticed that πŸ˜† Its not my model i got it from the 3d warehouse and was pretty impressed with it.I really dont see many people modeling Humans that much,Plus considering the fact that the nano suit from the game crysis is really detailed..whoever modeled this is pretty talented.(i wonder if they modeled it in a diffrent piece of software other than SU)

      Sry to post twice in a row but my RPG render is done...I still cant get the wood texture to look real, I guess i dont know how to resize the texture.I changed the metal texture and the Scope texture.The ground surface is a mattalic car paint texture.If anyone could tell me how to resize the wood texture in Kerkythea that would be great. 😍

      Thanks for all your comments,I am retexturing the RPG right now.As for the water i did not do much just used the water textures from the kerkythea dowload section of there site.
      Here is my first attempt at modeling liquid in a glass.I made the liquid red cause i thought it would make it more interesting than just plain water.I think iam going to redo the model so i can smooth out those edges.I rendered in KT on the number 11 preset...it took about 30 mins.

      I have tried many times to import my KT textures into SU but i am confused ❓
      I do not understand what it means when it asks if i want to "binde" my KT textures to my SU ones!!!
      Plz help i would love to be able to texture my models in SU with my KT textures.

      Yeah I know 🀣 Thats the main problem i have with it.I have a really cool texture that looks like rusty chiped paint but its only in red and i realy want to keep the actual rocket itself the traditional Army Green.IDK i am still messing with it.I have a nice experimental render cooking up right now,I am trying to render a glass with liquid inside.
      it should be done in about an hour or so.

      Thank you igor for the support...Here is a model i picked up off of 3d warehouse and thought it would be fun to tweak the texture a bit in KT.I have downloaded all the textures from the KT download page and i just cant get it right...But at least the water came out good πŸ˜„
      If anyone knows where else i can get my hands on some nice textures for KT that would be great. thnx πŸ˜›
