Sunken ship
-
It is so warm in Croatia and I have decided to make something cold, something deep in the water.
It is rendered in Hypershot, excellent render, fast and easy render for sketchup but unfortunately not free.
This is my Fletscher class destroyer at the bottom of the sea.

Nice render, although it looks like the waters about 1ft deep perhaps darken the water a bit to give the impression of more depth.
Other than that i really like it, good job with the sea floor

Yes. Remus is right. Now it looks like it's a sinken toy ship on the bottom of a bathtub. Darker water will fix it. It's still nice whatever. I like the last render.

Thank you, this is an picture from internet and I could not find better!

I don't know how much tomislavm knows about KT... These have been rendered in Hypershot...
Besides, I assume that the rays in the above renders have been made in a post pro...But the answer to your question is Yes... Please take a look at the kt under water thread...
To make this effect you need to render using caustics and volumetric light...
But be aware that it's not easy to achieve such renders..!!
There's a lot of pitfalls and most will do this in a post pro, since it's much easier... -
Thanks frederik i will take a look at the link

- I took a picture from internet.
- I broke my model in two parts.
- Open Hypershot and import background picture.
- Directly import sketchup model, rotate model in Hypershot and render.

And you didn't add anything to the render in a post pro..??
(Like the bubbles and the cloud of dust from the "impact"...)Can you post the original image used (the picture you got from the internet)..??
-
Only wires, bubbles and sand around ship, I will send you original picture later!
-
This is the picture I have use for background in my render

Thanks, tomislavm..!!
I'm sure that some will try to use it and render their own underwater scene...
