This is an old focus issue in Sketchup, from 2023, and now it seems it has gotten worse...
It is not related to Fredo.!

@Bratthaus ConDoc Tool has similar functions, but is expensive…

RE: Plugin to quickly open nested Component or Group?
Anyway, Curic 2 Level + Curic Copies (or S4U PickUp) does the same thing as this one. I use S4U PickUp cause is better than Curic Copies.
And Curic Select++ does the same thing as Curic To Level, but still i find Curic To Level better. -
RE: Plugin to quickly open nested Component or Group?
@Krass No, i was referring to VBO Jump to Level - a version presented by them in a video, but unavailable to download.
-
RE: [Plugin] Memory Copy (xformclone.rb)
There is another one from Eneroth, and i think maybe two more (one may be Tax Engineering, plus another one)
-
RE: Plugin to quickly open nested Component or Group?
@Krass VBO has a newer and better version, but there is no way to download it; i wrote to them but nobody answered...

RE: Plugin to quickly open nested Component or Group?
Also Curic 2 Level, much better than VBO

RE: MSPhysics 1.0.3 (16 October 2017)
@faust07 Man, you should read all those discussion posts on GitHub, they are very helpful in finding more solutions.
I never used this extension, so i can't speak from my own experience what it can and can not do in either version.
Also, I've seen a YouTube video once (on the "TutorialUp" channel), and this extension was working very well in SU 2018, i mean the same as in SU 2017... -
RE: MSPhysics 1.0.3 (16 October 2017)
Maybe on your GitHub is not, but on the GitHub from Earth it is.!

RE: MSPhysics 1.0.3 (16 October 2017)
On the GitHub page there is an upadated version that works for SU 2022, SU 2023, and even SU 2024 (with a slight modification).

RE: [Plugin] SceneTextureSwitcher v1.3
Curic Design Option might be a better option...

RE: Julia Eneroth's Viewport Resizer / SketchUp 2023
Anyway, the best export tool I've found so far is S4U export Scene with complete control over everything - resolution, select the scenes as you please, auto transfer the names of the scenes...

RE: Julia Eneroth's Viewport Resizer / SketchUp 2023
MC Vie Size still works, tested and use it every day in SU23 and 24, the catch is it has a difference in pixels (which is constant) that you have to remember, for example in SU23 you have to type minus 2 pixels for horizontal and minus 32 pixels for vertical, and after that you will see the correct and intended dimensions of viewport in the measurements field.
Eneroth is the same, but I don't remember why, I concluded that MC View Size is better... -
RE: [Plugin] SectionByCamera (V0.2) - UPDATED 4 June 2012
@Didier-Bur Thank you for your effort, now it starts (no more error at start of SU), but it doesnt do what it is supposed to do, as it is described in the animation and description of the first post.
It only creates its own scene... and that's it, the shadow is the same...!Edit: I dont know if it does matter, but i didnt test it in SU 2024 or 2025, but only in 2023.
I stopped at 2023, and there are many reasons not to go beyond until they fix many things that have been broken starting with 2024, among those being massive rgloader problems, many incompatibilities with extensions, and another one that i will not make it public. -
RE: [Plugin] SectionByCamera (V0.2) - UPDATED 4 June 2012
This one doesn't work with SU 2023...!
Please somebody confirm.! -
RE: [Plugin][$] ThruPaint - v2.8d - 13 May 25
@FlorinAp Correction, there is a tool from VBO, but is not a one-click tool, because it offers the option of choosing the level of nesting - it is a good option, but I don't need that option and I prefer a one-click tool.

RE: [Plugin][$] FredoScale - v3.6a - 01 Apr 24
Box Stretching options has a bug - it does correctly only the first level of components nesting, starting with the second level, it doesn't make unique on the first run (it messes up all your components in the model.!), and if you hit Ctrl+Z (only ONCE.!) it reverses the modification, and after that they remain unique and you can modify...
Very disturbing.!
Curic Stretch works flawlessly, but it is not so handy and fast to use, so is the last option. I use it only when what I want to modify is much too heavy (loaded with many faces and edges... usually organic shapes, but also cabinets with more then 3 drawers because it freezes calculating) because it can handle much more amount of geometry, in these situations, Fredo Scale does only half the job and you end up seeing that only a few pieces have been modified. -
RE: [Plugin][$] ThruPaint - v2.8d - 13 May 25
This function would be very useful, because as far as I know there is no tool that can do tags by penetrating across nested groups and components.
-
RE: [Plugin][$] ThruPaint - v2.8d - 13 May 25
For the geometry it does tags with selecting no materials, but this function doesn't work for objects - for objects it does tags only if you select a material (at least the default material).
I've tried all the versions and is the same problem. -
RE: [Plugin] LordOfTheToolbars - v2.9c - 20 Dec 24
@fredo6 This solution doesn't work for palettes. If you previously had a palettes opened on a second monitor (or on the right edge of a monitor with a bigger resolution than the current one - which was my case.!), then that palettes is lost (even with the option "Reset Workspace" from SU Preferences).
The only way I could bring it back was with Dan Rathbun extension "Dialog Cascader" (and maybe it could also worked with Flex Tools "Lost and Found Windows".
