    • Apply logo to curved or round surface (cylinder)

have created a cylinder which i require a logo to be placed on the front. have saved a jpeg image of logo,
have then made a copy of size of cylinder as a flat face. imported logo as texture positioned it and projected it to face. i have then loaded it into paint to apply to curved surface.
this works to what i require excect that it wraps all the way around the cylinder giving multiple images of logo, i only require one on the front. can someone explain where have i gone wrong or is there a better method. is there a way to take section out of cylinder place logo and the place back giving what i need. any ideas will be much appreciated.

      regards

    • How to draw fuselage of aircraft

using blueprints to build a plane (737) using front, side and top views, create outline of each, make groups of each, extrude top view and side view, explode each and then intersect with model,i then erase the unwanted lines etc. i then do the same for the front view, extrude through model, explode group and again intersect with model, then erase to leave me the shapeof the fuselage. however i am not getting what i require instead of being smooth edges i am getting sharp edges and it does not look like the image i am trying to create. any help please. is this the best way to build this model? any help
