I usually create a separate curved section the same proportions as the logo. Import the logo and paint to the section then apply to the cylinder.
Remember, if the logo is not bounded by a rectangle, lets say it's a circle, you will need to create a transparent bg and save as a png.
Hi 5thT,
This is the Guide to the FollowMe tool: http://download.sketchup.com/sketchuphelp/gsu6_win/Content/D-Modification_Tools/ModTool-Follow-Me.htm
Where exactly do you have the problem with the use of it? Can you upload a simple example skp file here?
I had the same problem with fifthtexas and i used to do the workaround mentioned above.
But since you are using AutoCAD i found a tool named Plex.Earth which provides an evaluation version to download. This will be commercially available in a few days but you can have the full functionality until then to do your work. I think that you have to see it to believe it: i couldn't imagine that i would do the work i used to spend days in just some hours.
If you want to do the work using SU, the above procedure in SU PRO is the only affordable way. If you want to do the work inside AutoCAD take a look at Plex.Earth
its a very complicated thing, and only really learnt through a lot of practice. This thread might be of interest, though: http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=2650
If you search the tutorials forum, there should also be some more specific tutorials in there.
