All the better. Still, Palin tried to get books removed. Bad thing. B-A-D.

I'm a bloody foreigner but according to snopes.com the claim is false.

      Anssi

What snopes is saying is false is that there is/was a list of books that she tried to or did have banned. That is false. What isn't false is that she approached the librarian and asked her if she would be opposed to banning certain titles and she said she was. I also understand that the librarian was fired,, although that claim has been disputed. As Stinkie said just the fact that she wanted books to be banned is bad enough.

fella77, it's impossible to discuss these deep issues with someone like you. I suggest you do a little reading. You'll be a better person for it.

Someone like me? What exactly do you mean by that, sir? Are you somehow suggesting that I am intellectually inferior to you, because I disagree with your opinions. I do allot of reading for your information, and like a typical right wing snob you feel your information is somehow more accurate than others, and your opinion more important than others who might disagree with you. How dare you question what kind of person I am. Obviously, I hit a nerve with you with my criticism of the current administration so you feel it's necessary to attack my intelligence and character...I guess my observations aren't "deep" enough to be valid. Maybe you should do some reading, other than the drudge report and listening to Rush Limbaugh spew his poison. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, and though I didn't agree with you sir, I didn't attack your intelligence or character.

You are absolutely right Stinkie! She was just what his campaign needed..she brings with her the Vagina vote ( the women that will vote for the candidate that has one, regardless of their intelligence or politics), the bible belt religious vote( the ones that put Bush over in the last election) and all the alleged blue collar "I know what your going through 'cause I been there myself" factor vote. I guess she is the right choice to put ole' stinkie wizzle cheeks in office. If you really think she belongs anywhere near the presidency, watch this video!

I am afraid...and I am not kidding. The more she talks the more scared I get. You can't tell me that she was his best choice. Has anyone had the pleasure of seeing the video of her preacher from the church she goes to? This guy makes Obamas preacher look like the friggin pope! Remeber everyone, pray the gay away!

Ok..here we go...lets blame everything thats wrong in this country on Bill Clinton..ya, thats right it's all his fault were in this mess.I guess that brainless monkey we call a president, and his right hand man that likes to drink and shoot his friends in the face, and all his well qualified cabinet members that previously ran horse shows, that have been in control for the last 8 years..they have no complicity in this crisis. They are all done making millions for themselves and their rich friends, and bending the constitution into a pretzel, so they are going to walk away from this mess and blame it on the democratic congress and a president that was in office 8 years ago. What you might see as a liberal love fest feels more to me like the pain full truth to some...the same ones that assured me 8 years ago that Bush was an intelligent man, and that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Really...to blame the state of union today...a financial crisis that could be as bad as the 1929 crash..on one piece of legislation that Clinton signed 8 years ago? You need to stop drinking that Republican Kool-Aid, my friend..

Pete, Stink..good to see you guys too...

I hope your right, Juan. According to the latest poles, after the stock market took a dump McCain's numbers slid considerably. There is allot of talk that this whole stunt he is pulling suspending his campaign to fix the economy is just a ploy to make him look like he gives a s**t and delay his debate and even more importantly, make the VP debate go away altogether. I have to be honest, I am really afraid of a person like Palin even getting remotely close to being the president. And given that McCain is so old he remembers the first depression, it's highly likely that he could drop dead of a heart attack and then guess who's facing down serious world politics with her folksy, working mother politics....man, that scares the crap out of me. As far as the book banning thing goes, I guess she approached the librarian and asked her if she would be opposed to removing certain titles from the library, and when she said she would, she was promptly fired...that seems to be the way the Palin administration operated in Alaska...if you weren't down with her views you were out the door so she could give your job the someone she went to high school with that is grossly incapable of performing said job.

Many people still harp on that the Constitution is a God-inspired document. Yet GOD IS NEVER MENTIONED IN THE CONSTITUTION.

The "In GOD we trust" logo was added to our money in 1957, yet it's argued that it's constitutional and cannot be removed.

These are the same people that say they believe in a seperation between church and state yet will base their vote on who their religious denomination endorses.

Unfortunately, there are too many racists in this country that couldn't stomach even a half African American president, even in the face of our country being driven to the brink of another depression by a republican administration. I'm not crazy about Hillary, but I think she would have had a better shot at beating Gram-pa. At least W lived up to his excpetations...everything the guy has touched in his life has gone bankrupt, including our country. I am not sure I agree with all of Obamas politics, but he has got to be better than a carbon copy of the last idiot, with a side dish of moron fundamentalist Christian, gun toting, hockey mom politics.
