Well said guys...like any other annoyance if you ignore him he wont get the attention he craves and he will go fill up someone else's forum with "WTF?"s.

      I love it, espresso...

I figured it wouldn't be long until the principal found out what was going on in the playground and broke up all the fun...I guess he has a point...this thread wasn't exactly putting out best feet forward..but it made for some amusing content, creative photoshopping, and all around witty bantor...even if it was at Kevin's self inflicted expense...

If Kevs been on all day it's probably because we are getting socked with a snowstorm here in the northeast USA and he didn't have school today..they canceled matchbook law school today! Your Mercedes got hit in a parking lot you say....had to go to the Quickie Mart for some ketchup to put on your caviar?

I never said I wanted him dead...I just said I wasn't too upset that he got beat up...my last line about the 100 virgins i was implying *when *he died now that he is a hero amoung his people..not that I wanted him dead..I would never wish death on anyone...except maybe the mice that keep wandering into my garage when it gets cold!

Maybe so Sid....I agree with everything said about how we don't belong there and that we should have never invaded the country in the first place. What can I say other than regardless of who is president I love my country and I for one aren't going to put this guy up on a pedestal no matter how much I dislike Bush. I want nothing more than for every American to be out of that country, which it seems the Iraqis want too.

    • RE: Bush vs Shoe

Just to voice an unpopular opinion, I HATE Bush and his policies, I was against the war in Iraq, and took allot of sh** for it from people. I voted for Obama and I can't wait for him to take over and have Bush go back to kicking tumbleweeds in bumf**k Texas since thats the only thing he is good at. But that being said, he is still my president, still represents my country and as funny as the video is, it still makes me mad that he had two shoes thrown at him...I am glad this guy got beat down for what he did..I was pissed that the secret service let him get the second shoe thrown before they tackled him and put him in a choke hold. Last time I checked, throwing stuff at someone isn't considered an act of free speech. I'm sure there will be statues and shrines set up for this guy all over Iraq, now that he is a hero...as we speak, there is a crappy mural of him being painted on the side of some filthy building. When he dies he can line up for his 100 virgins with all the courageous suicide bombers.

    • RE: Residential model...

That is a great looking model..excellent detail. I like the render as well. As far as podium is concerned Earthmover is correct, but I think only the "dark" slider has any effect on the shadows. In the latest release of Podium, the light is allot stronger so it's a little tougher to control..one tip I read in the forum is to move the model away from origin (0,0)that will weaken the light intensity and give you a little better control. I really like your siding texture and the color is great. I would agree with Earthmover on the paver size, and maybe adding some reflection to the glass...and maybe look for a better grass texture.

    • RE: Coloured (textured) models?

I think it is definitely worth the extra effort to orient the grain properly. Sometimes that means some extra work but I think it pays off in the end adding to the realism especially if you intend to render it. Whenever I look at a Sketchup model of a wooden object no matter what it is I always notice if the grain is heading in the right direction. The one thing that I find a little frustrating is dealing with endgrain...but there are allot better texture resources out there that have some end grain textures so thats getting a little easier to deal with.
