No, The plan was imported from Autocad and drawn over and then projected up so I do'nt know what happened to those faces, I think I'll just start the whole thing from scratch and see how I get on

Fragmented Solid Face
Hi,
I've started modelling a building and something weird has happened to one of the faces, well one I've discovered so far.
I tried to place a window ope in a wall and when i projected it back the shape projected in fragments, the entire face seems to have fragmented for some strange reason [well to me anyway], I have obviously done something wrong and was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions, I've run fix problems and none are reported. I have attached the model and applied a colour to one of the fragments on the face. Thanks in advance

RE: Disappearing Walls
Hi Cotty.
it was just a simple block model, the outline extruded and further extrusions to create the roof, so I just decided to place the window opes and noticed when removed the rectangles that the inner face of the block model was gone. I just thought it might be a quicker way to model rather than pulling up the external walls, it's not causing any grief I was just wondering is this usual with sketchup, thanks for your reply -
Disappearing Walls
Is there any way to avoid this, I have a block model of a simple house, I place the windows and project back the depth I require, I then delete the rectangles and when I rotate the model the inside face of the external walls has been deleted but the window reveals remain.
I will be modelling the interior later and don't want to have to redraw the internal faces of the external walls.
Any advice would be appreciated. -
RE: New User

New User
Hi guy's I have just started to use VRay for Sketchup having previously used Podium and I'm sure I'm having all the usual rendering problems any new user would have, creating materials, reflection, etc but I will come to those later. My question is I keep reading about materials libraries but don't seem to be able to create any of them. Any materials I create just seem to remain in the Sketchup file I'm working in and I have to go through the whole proccess again for each subsequent file I work in, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, any advice
