I'm not sure how that helps me..
I have made a cylindar in the center of the sketchup world - and it's in view when I export it to .3ds, but still it seems out of center..
You might be right, but when I import other .3ds models, that I've downloaded - then they show up fine..
Perhaps there is in sketchup some way of centering a model ?
Hi
I'm trying to export a model from sketchup pro to BuildAR - but it seems, that it isn't centered.
The format is .3ds - what might I be doing wrong?
I tried making a simple cylinder with the center on the crossing of all axes, but even that one doesn't come out centered - what to do?
I don't know how to troubleshoot this..
I have now tried your tutorial - and all works well, besides the fact that my model doesn't show up in BuildAR..
I can export it and convert it, and watch it in http://www.viewtec.net/index.php?page=terrainview witch is a free .ive viewer. Both my .3ds and my .ive models look fine in terrainview. But none show up in BuildAR.
I downloaded this heart 3d-model http://www.elektrobar.com/lux/down/objects/heart.zip and it works well - so it seems that it is something with my models, but what to do?
Hi
Maybe I'm just not bright enough - but you write "BuildAR loads *.3ds and *.obj files directly without having to convert with ARive." at the end - doesn't that make your tutorial obsolete? Or what did I miss?
BTW Thanx for the tutorial - I tried this months ago, but without ARise, and textures were all screwed up , so I discarded it alltogether - now I'm about to try your fine tutorial !
