tina,
while still in SU have you tried using the sun and making the ceiling not to cast shadows? in this way you get a very nice luminosity in interiors.

i am not sure if that is important to you but i always try to get rid of the distortion caused by the perspective (walls not parallel but opening up).
two ways to do it: camera>>two-point perspective or setting the line of view parallel to the ground (the observer's eyes look to a point at the same height as his or her eyes).
i have the luck of living and working at the same place. what you see is the house i build for myself in 2005. my office (a studio, really) is at the back of the site and enjoys a view to a small garden. (the black spot on the lower left corner is pep, my labrador, the office's pet)
other than that i go to the university two mornings and two evenings every week to teach.

How to you get the ceiling so light - mine is always in shadow.
syburn, the answer to your problem is in aidan chopra's book. i scanned the pages that deal with it and included them here. hope it helps.
excellent work. more than enough to give a client a good idea of what is being proposed without committing yourself to specific materials.
i used to live at upper darby at the very end of a bus route that would take me daily to the upenn.
quite nice. i like grayish drawings. will you post some views from the interior (as if walking in it)?
by the way, i lived in philly for three years a century ago.
They need to stay connected with them. Most of us have busy lifestyles but ur kids come first. It's a parents responsibility. And there's no excuse for not doing so. If u don't ur letting them down.

if these are your first one's who's to say what you will soon be able to do! congrats.
hey, tom, amazing work that makes me feel humble in a positive way, meaning i still have a lot to learn, fortunately.
would you care to enlighten my ignorant self as to what is DWC? i assume PSP is Photoshop, right?
keep it up, man, and do not fall off those trees.
ross,
great design and thoughtful draftsmanship. please keep your work coming.
best wishes.
oi giovani,
this is my first one. it is part of a competition project for a town and civic center in brasil (posted here in may - i remember exchanging a few messages with gaeius about it). what you see is the basic building unit without the louvers specific to each position in which it was used (in all there were about 15).
must say is very badly organized. at that point i had not discovered one must draw always on layer o...
amazing. great spatial sense. at 20 he will be working for pixar...
james,
they would be protected from the rain by the plexiglas roof. and, since the room is the bottom of a light well, there is no way to steal them from there.
mike, you are right. and, being the design a gift to the owner, i have more freedom to suggest what I think is best.

just so as you guys do not think i spend my day cooking up tough SU problems for you to solve, i am posting a tiny job i am doing for a relative.
it is a space to be used as washroom and patio. size: 2,40x2,10m. tiny, isn't it? it is surrounded by walls but open to the sky.
as proposed, 40% is to be used for laundry purposes (this is where the sink sent to me by gully went), the rest as a deck. i am contemplating a direct connection to the kitchen but need more info from the "client" to do that.
cheers.

glad to see you around. good work and keep it coming.

thanks a lot. I shall get in touch as start fiddling with cheetah.
regards.
hi kannonball,
how difficult is it to work with cheetah 3D? i am asking this because some free render softwares are a bit complex to deal with, like blender, for instance.
cheers.
