okay guys,
you know how Apple was showing renders of their soon-to-be building (Aka the "Mothership") a while back?
Has anyone got ahold of the model for that?
I would love to play around with it....
just a thought...
thoughts Anyone?

I know this may be to easy... but why not use the fredo6 round corners plugin?
Seems lie you can achieve the same result much easier.
Hi all
Has anyone heard anything about a Sketch up model viewer for the android OS?
I would love to use a Galaxy Tab or a Xoom to show off my portfolio in 3D.
I remember something about a Iphone/Ipad app... I dont know would still love to see one on android.
Thanks,
Hey all!
Just a quick post to a new Work In Progress I am Starting back up on.
Its a sound studio...
Right now the drums are just place holders until I get something better so yeah....
I am adding in a vocal Isolation booth in soon, I will be posting more pictures of that soon.
alright enough talking here's the pics:
Not at all, that was basically my idea.
theoretically you could then run sketch up from any net-book/laptop/Tablet/Phone with internet access
It should also be able to run with the full amount of features.
At the very least one for quick sketching on a web computer would be great.
Hello All!
Have not been here in a while and i had a odd idea...
with all this talk about Google's OS, I have been thinking about the programs I use, that would still require windows.
It all came down to one program.... Sketch Up. Programs like Photoshop and Gimp are replaced by Aviary. Microsoft Office is replaced by Google Docs. Even Video and Audio editors are starting to appear. So my though was, what about a toned down online version of SketchUp?
At the Beginning it would have just the basic tool set. and the upload to Google functions. You would log in with your Google account to access your saved data. I don't know...What do you think guys? Any thoughts?
Tell me what ya think,
Taylor,
The thumbnail program is probably changing the file contents when its in use....
sketch up assumes its editing model itself when you do that....
i would click no. it should have no ill effect on the model
I use this one a lot in my work.
I love it!
My only complaint is the lighting could be better....
makes for a good quick render though!
hmmm odd.... I will look into this more...
in the mean time I have made the window a component it should make it really easy to select!
house.skp
thanks for bringing this up!
Taylor,
ok odd challenge
mess around with placement of textures and objects, and get weird results!
for example...
this is a just for fun contest no rules just go for it!
Taylor,
that makes sense...
looking forward to these updates! would love to have them in place!
i see....
I would like to see a plugin browser like you described!
that would make it much easier! It would be also cool if it could load those plug-ins up without having to restart!
I know that would be hard to do but it would be very helpful to have!
Thanks
Taylor,
Hey everyone!
had a quick thought...
A plug-in contest
people vote for the best plugins, and the top ones get to be added as a permanent addition to Google sketch-up's next major update
Of course each plugin would have to be close to error free... And each of the authors would get credit as the maker of the plugin
I don't know but, I would like to see some of these plugins in the next version...
what do you think? could this work?
Thanks
Taylor,
mine have to be:
1Roof maker(roofs are a pain and this plugin makes it considerably easier)
2Scf Power Toolbar
3Curve tool
I thought it was Ultra modern speaker system!
looks good!
some jaggies at the top and a little grainy overall kinda mess with the eye...
if you could soften it up in GIMP or Photoshop it would be a little better overall.
See Ya
Taylor,
Thanks all!
I am still considering it mostly because i am starting post-rendering work with GIMP and such.
its cheap enough where I can try it out to see if I like it!
Thanks again!
Taylor,
Quick question for y'all
I am thinking about getting a bamboo pad (like a pen for the computer)
is there anyone here who has one? and do they find it useful with Sketch Up?
Thanks
Taylor
I would use fredo's surface tools plugin.
It lets you draw any shape onto a surface.
its probably the easiest way to go.
