    • RE: [PlugIn] 3D Printers G-Code importer/Exporter Ver0.0.9

i have attempted this plugin in 2013, about to try it in 8 pro.
thought i should bring this little web app that i found recently.
it is a gcode viewer and i was hoping to use it to view the gcode i exported from sketchup in it but it doesn't seem to be working from being exported in 2013.

neither of the gcode files i exported from regular sketchup files worked in the simulator. but i am keen to use this addon to use the simulation app

    • Hi im alex, making solids

      hi, i'm alex.
im a second year architecture student at Curtin (WA, Australia)
i work part time in an architecture firm and continually find myself using sketchup.
for the last 3 years i have disliked it with a passion but now i see there is no escaping it haha.

i have come to SketchUcation on the recommendation of a workmate who has told me of an amazing sounding plug-in that allows me to create a solid from my model.

basically i have an STL exported from revit and i am wishing to 3d print it.

the way he described it, its like wrapping the model in a skin and creates a solid shape from that skin. like if i was to cover a birds nest with glad wrap and then fill it with concrete...

i did some looking and found Solid Solver which i will try soon, does this make sense to anyone?

thanks, i'm looking forward to getting sketchucated
