    • Drop items into a box

      Hi all,

I am looking to create a box full of spray paint cans which have been randomly thrown in. I dont need to see the animation the cans just need to be in the box as if just thrown in.
There needs to be a hundred or so cans and it needs to look pretty random.

I asked this on the newbie forum and i was pointed to the sketchyphysics plug. Is this the best way to do this?

I have been using the sketchyphysics plugin, but everytime i run an animation almost everything in my model starts to fall. I have looked at some tutorials, but they dont really cover what i am looking to do.
I have created all the objetcs, i just need them arranegd in a way that looks like they were thrown into the box.

If anyone has any thoughts, Id love the help!!

      Thanks,

      Donny-

    • Messy/randomness...

      Hi all,

I'm pretty new to Sketchup and looking for some help here!

I am looking to create a box full of spray cans for a model of a hardware store.
Basically, the box is about the size of a pallet and will have a few hundred spray cans just thrown in.

Is there a way to do this without manually placing each can inside the box?
I have managed to create the can and can stack them neatly, but is there a way to get a sort of random messy arrangement?
I wont have to make all the cans in the bin, just the ones that will be seen from the top.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

      Thanks!
