    • RE: Line help

^Thank you! But when I do that, only the faces remain, but the wall thickness disappears? The faces of the inside walls are gone. Am I doing something wrong?

    • Line help

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum! If there is a tutorial on this, please direct me to it.

So, I just read the "How a Pro Builds a House in Sketchup" tutorials a few days ago, and it has helped a lot! I have a problem that the tutorial doesn't address - adding a roof. I raised my walls and now, it's just a bunch of walls with nothing connecting them. I've tried using the rectangle tool to fill in the spaces, but then on the roof, I see the lines of the walls that have been raised up.

Can someone please explain to me how I can make a flat roof without the lines showing?

    • Building a house from a floorplan on Sketchup.

So, I've drawn out the floor plan of a building, and am using that to make my walls using push/pull. Once I got the walls to the right heights, I covered the top using the rectangle tool. The problem is that I have my roof, but you can see the floor plan from the first floor drawn on it because of the walls! How can I get rid of those lines without destroying the walls and their thicknesses?

      Thanks!

    • Some lines darker?

Why is it that when using the pencil tool, some lines, when drawn, are "normal" thickness, but some are very thick? I use the same settings for both lines too. I am trying to separate the panes of a window by drawing in lines, but one line is normal (the first on I draw), but the second one I draw is very thick. Any help?
