      Hi JHuman

I designed the cabinetry and the layout - the client did not choose the colour of the walls until the cabinets were installed. We had talked about a wheat colour for the walls and I was as shocked as most people were when the walls were painted. You are not being harsh - just giving your opinion and I appreciate all comments - good and bad - that s how I get better! Cheers for posting. Now can we please kill this thread!

Great looking project. I havent seen that screen printing technique used on furniture before - can you give me a heads up on where I can get the screens / scraper for such a project. Love the carved chess set too - a talented carver!

      Hi Lee

Good shot at an incredibly difficult layout. Why the lack of units to the left of the extractor hood? Space would be limited in an apartment kitchen like this. My advice is purely on the cabinetry modelling as I am useless at rendering. Loads of experts on here to help you though - just ask the questions and they will answer.

    • RE: SCF Basecamp Picasa webalbum

Proud of the two Irish men - beer in hand and looking as fresh as daisies after a night on the lash!! I see Mike Tadros in one of the photos - he must be there spoofin about SU 8 - he did one of the promo videos for it which I watched last night.
Loved seeing the pics - made me as jealous as hell not being there. Any feedback of the basecamp content yet apart from the release of the new version?

Hi Sully, Nice render & Model. Only thing i spotted was the oven - left hand side of it is missing and the unit underneath is twisted or warped a bit. Other than that - really good. πŸ‘ πŸ‘

    • RE: Cordless Drill

      Hi Boo

Sorry I missed the return of this post, I was offline for a few days. You asked about the chuck. The attached pictures show you the set I have got when I purchased my C12. This was not the standard set but was on offer at the time. The right angles chuck and the offset chuck have been absolutely brilliant for fitting kitchens. You can get a screw in anywhere with this kit - right into the corner of a unit or you can screw cornice down onto the tops of units very close to the ceiling. The standard kit comes with the keyless chuck and the centrotec chuck, the latter will not accept standard hex bits - which can be a bit annoying but I have the centrotec bit set as well so it doesnt affect me too much. I hope this helps and enjoy the new toy - it is a great piece of kit.

    • RE: Photomatch Problem

      Sorry David

I will only find out if they are cropped if I try to photomatch them. I am not technically competent in photography and the image was emailed to me by a client - from a website download. I have modelled it by guesstimating the dimensions. I plan to make a similar bed for the client and she wanted it as close as possible to the image. It was my first attempt at photomatch and I was getting very frustrated at not being able to achieve a good vertical line position when my horizon points were very accurately positioned. Thus the request for help. I have reread your original post on the topic and I just cant match what you are saying to what you have done in the images with the lines. Sorry for not being able to understand this thus my request for further direction on learning more about the subject. Thanks for the reply.
