I actually take a bit of umbrage with this. "Poppy" or "Poppity" is my nom-de-grandpa with my 2 little G-boys. Now I can never hear it without seeing this horrific image. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Thanks for the great self esteem booster Stink. Well played sir. ๐Ÿ’š

      Merci Pilou. ๐Ÿ‘

pour moi. . .Very rarely does stuff like this work right out of the box, so as I work thru these things,I always go to my first point of attack. . . it's probably just doesn't like me. ๐Ÿ˜„

I still am not getting it to perform as I would like. . .But with all the metal anguish and time spent on this, it's probably just as easy to do this in separate profiles and components and call it a day.

      button.pngMerci Pilous. . .mais. ..

As they say in . .wherever they say this. . .Ce bouton n'est pas disponible! ๐Ÿ’š

For some reason this button is grayed out for me> don't know why. I paid Dale for the full meal deal! under what circumstances is it available?

Also, I guess I don't understand all the nuances of the placement options. I"ll keep fussing.

      Encore--je te remercie.

I installed this in but not sure what it's supposed to do. Certainly didn't make the button appear or make any of my dialogues en francais (which woulda been kinda cool for a min ๐Ÿ’š )

    • Profile Builder Assembly Question

yo ho fellow wizards. .. of which I am not one. . .but whatever. . .

I was going to post this to Dale directly but he's a busy guy and there are aprobably a gigllion of you out there can answer this for me. I've been using PB for quite a while but still not really using assemblies, so I thought I would try my first one but it is a struggle. I want to do an assembly of a glass guardrail around an octagon, with the newel post positioning themselves on the corners and maybe a lesser post in the middle with a cap rail. the rail wants to sit on a curb.

I understand the concept of the assembly construction thx to some video tuts, but when I position the assembly--the spacing isn't what I want. Can someone help me? Thanks in advance.

Eric. . .Glad to see this oldie being revived. It was fun back in the day--even though I was never any good at it back then.

And I'm still not it seems. I have no idea what this picture is, but anything that involves a poop emoji has got to be hilarious, right? ๐Ÿ’š

A few years back I was expecting and anticipating a lot for each new release...and got very disappointed when it didn't live up to my hopes and expectations.
Now I'm not so disappointed anymore.
I came to the conclusion that I shouldn't expect anything for the next version.
SketchUp IS still a great modelling app and my preferred 3d tool for what I do but I now believe that it will never be what I had hoped.
It's not what I want, but not expecting it to become what I want has made my life a little easier.

      a lot like life. ๐Ÿ’š

    • RE: Will SketchUp Ever Wear Big Boy Pants?

I've been an SU guy from the @Last days, and having been using it in our work for years as well as my private at home stuff. We still use it at my work for initial studies and such. It's easy, fast and fun. However--when we land on a concept, we turn it over to our consultants of which we employ a lot . .. i mean a LOT. They in turn hire their consultants. . .MEP, Structural, etc.

      They all speak REVIT.

I tried to get into REVIT in its infancy. . .(2.0 or something like that) didn't get it. so when SU came along it was great for me. But I need to learn revit now. I still use SU but . . BIM is the way of the world--in our world.

    • RE: WIP?

I always thought WIP meant "Work in Pieces' mine always is. . .

reminds me of "Goooooood, Mornin' Viet Nam!"

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put on K.P.
