SIMPLE Lighting inside Sketchup?
Hello again out there,
Is there such a thing as a simple lighting tool for inside sketchup?
Not looking for photorealism. I saw a nice one called something like Lighten Up.
Looked very comprehensive- maybe more than I wish to cope with at the moment. Thanks, again.

RE: Want selector.rb by J. Foltz
The program is running fine. But,I can't change the change out of the basic menu, which has 8 icans in it. I'm sure those would be what I use most. But, in his "ad" in SketchUcation, he discusses the ability to expand the menu to get more options by going to Tools-Selection Toys- UI Settings. By doing this, I believe an interactive dialogue box should open where one can choose additional commands. (This is what appears in his Selection Toys in SketchUcation.) When I try this, I get an html text box instead of the graphic he shows in SketchUcation. Of course, all of this is above my pay grade!
Thanks, Dave

RE: Want selector.rb by J. Foltz
TIG: Thanks, I downloaded Selector Toys. Looks just like what I need. I get an html file instead of the gui(?) to expand the menu to get all of the commands per thomthom's instructions. Any ideas?
I did make a litle donation to you for all your good work. I really appreciate it.

RE: Want selector.rb by J. Foltz
Thanks to both of you.
TIG, Thank you for the file. We're not sure how to make it usable. I'm not proficient with computers, so I had our IT expert here and he tried several means to make the file usable in sketchup. He tried to simply copy it into the plugins folder and also tried copying it to a notepad and converting it to a .rb file without success.
Thanks so much for your help.

Want selector.rb by J. Foltz
Hello, out there.
Would like to get selector.rb plugin by Jim Foltz.
It allows selection by edge, by face, by group, or component.
I went to his website but I couldn't download it.
I emailed, but didn't hear back.
This is not the same as his selector memory plugin, which does download. Thanks, Dave

Upgrade
Tried upgrading to Standard several times this morning.
Mostly, I've tried clicking the Upgrade button next to log- in.
I get a website error message.Once, I tried getting to the upgrade from the Resources drop- down menu.
I was able fill out a registration form and I got a response that my user name was not available! Of course, that was me! Any ideas? If Rich is reading this, sorry to be such a pain.

SketchUp Extensions Warehous vs Plug-Ins Store
Hello,
I downloaded the SketchUcation plug-ins store plug-in yesterday.
It helped me install some plug-ins I was having trouble installing without it.
I like the ability to manage plug-ins.Don't like the plug-ins store interface. I can't scroll through titles easily.
I can't seem to turn off authors filter. It looks similar to the sketchup extensions
warehouse that appears on the Warehouse Toolbar in SketchUp 13. Warehouse toolbar is
a little easier to use but I can't scroll through very quickly. The screen has to catch up.Frankly, I wish it worked more like the Ruby Library Depot.
Any hints?Thanks, Dave

RE: Sketchucation Upgrades
Rich,
I tried to upgrade by click on Subscribe and I got a Website Security message.
The message recommended not providing private info if I open page.
What do I do?
Thanks, Dave -
RE: Sketchucation Upgrades
Rich,
If you're still there, I thought of another ?.
I assume that if you by the $100 upgrade, you can't cancel it.
Can you cancel the $75 upgrade at any time and get a pro-rated credit for your fee? Thanks, again.

RE: Ruby Console Dialogue Box
Thanks, Tig
I've had some free time, so I have been testing some plug-ins.
I can try to find the culprit.
I may try to find that string, but that is very scary as I am such a novice.Minutes after I posted, I ran across a plug-in called "clear ruby console".
It worked, but now I get an error dialogue box instead!
It says something like it can't find a ruby console to find.Dave

Sketchucation Upgrades
I'm considering upgrading to Premium or Premium+.
I don't need store space.
Seems like premium+ offers store space for $75 while Premium has no store space for $100.
Doesn't make sense to me, so I must be missing something. Please clarify. Thanks to all of you who have answered my questions. You're all incredible.
Thanks,
Dave
