Want selector.rb by J. Foltz
-
Hello, out there.
Would like to get selector.rb plugin by Jim Foltz.
It allows selection by edge, by face, by group, or component.
I went to his website but I couldn't download it.
I emailed, but didn't hear back.
This is not the same as his selector memory plugin, which does download. Thanks, Dave

On Didier's ruby depot you can find a french version of the plugin.

Thanks to both of you.
TIG, Thank you for the file. We're not sure how to make it usable. I'm not proficient with computers, so I had our IT expert here and he tried several means to make the file usable in sketchup. He tried to simply copy it into the plugins folder and also tried copying it to a notepad and converting it to a .rb file without success.
Thanks so much for your help.

Thomthom's selection toys is perhaps a better option for you. Much newer and more options.

I agree that TT's toolset is far better/newer - get it here http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=tt_selection_toys

TIG: Thanks, I downloaded Selector Toys. Looks just like what I need. I get an html file instead of the gui(?) to expand the menu to get all of the commands per thomthom's instructions. Any ideas?
I did make a litle donation to you for all your good work. I really appreciate it.

Thanks
Have you got TT's 'toys' working now ?

The program is running fine. But,I can't change the change out of the basic menu, which has 8 icans in it. I'm sure those would be what I use most. But, in his "ad" in SketchUcation, he discusses the ability to expand the menu to get more options by going to Tools-Selection Toys- UI Settings. By doing this, I believe an interactive dialogue box should open where one can choose additional commands. (This is what appears in his Selection Toys in SketchUcation.) When I try this, I get an html text box instead of the graphic he shows in SketchUcation. Of course, all of this is above my pay grade!
Thanks, Dave

You mention in another thread that you are using an old XP machine, it seems some of the problems you have been having could be related to that. Things like the version of internet explorer you have can make things fail.

box, thanks. IT guy in our office agrees. Big job, though.
