no 2018, pretty poor that sketchups own "fix model" is what broke the file to a point where its completely gone... plus a driver update is as good of an answer and switching it off and on again, its the file not the computer thats the problem.

Corrupt file can no longer open with bugsplats.
So i was working in a file that iv been in for a few days, basically optimzing components for unreal import, then while moving something around, i get the "fix model" promt, i say yes and i get a bugsplat, now when i try to load the file it instantly bugsplats, i tried imported into a clean file, bugsplat, i tried opening on a newer version of sketchup and i get the "corrupt beyond repair" promt...
i dont have backups or autosaves turned on as i sometimes work in a file thats over 1gb and is shared via sync software that doesnt transfer quick enough at times and its just easier not to have it on...
does anyone have any idea on what i can do?? its a lot of work to lose

yes i had all the icons, they were shown as installed in the plugins manager, they all said to be up to date.... as for installing correctly, its not hard to install an rbz now is it so dont be so arrogant or ignorant of the situation, i came here looking for help... but iv sorted it now either way, just old versions, what ever i ended up with the newer ones from either here or the plugin that downloads them automatically just caused them to fail but there was never anything wrong with the old ones anyway... unless i want to get a newer plug in for something but for now its ok

i had installed all latest plugins and lib files, none worked, no errors on console, its like they just didnt work... ended up getting an older version of everything to work... good thing i had an out of date back up.

iv come up against a really confusing issue, ALL fredo tools have stopped working, (scale, round corner, pushpull, curviloft, tool on surface) none of them do anything when i press the icons... they stopped working on 2015, uninstalled and cleaned everything out of old plugin folders (appdata loc), reinstalled and nonthing, try 2016 and the exact same thing happens, why on earth do they now no longer work?!

i came across this plugin in the attempt to find a way to get through some of my modeling a bit quicker as its taking a very long time to do... i need to build a fence along a path that is undulating at random intervals where all posts need to be vertical but also fill a space that is always changing (slight scaling is ok) and im not sure if this program is the right way forward or not...
this picture shows that iv already managed to get all the large corner posts in place using the copy along path tool as they just needed to be at the nodes, but is there a way to get the white fence posts to go all the way along the path in between the main posts and scale appropriately but also remain standing upright regardless of the undulation angles of the path edge itself? i saw a post where someone had made a fence kinda like this but it was more repeated than what i need...
any help on this would be very grateful.

iv sorted it all now either way... just did it the manual way... although id rather not do it all over again, is there a way to make a script or something that allows me to export from sketchup into a specific file for a different program?
the program i want to convert a sketchup file into is called objectcreator which is for No Limits coaster... it creates files *.ocobject which can be used in the program that was made to convert no limits tracks into 3DS... is there some way to make a convertor or i dont know....

ok thats fair enough, i didnt really supply enough information to really get much help... so... the track is made using 2 other programs that dont have the option to create advanced model details like the nuts that i am applying... the track comes as can be seen in the pics, just without anything on it... what i want to do is apply one of these
to one of these
but the only way i can do it, which is very time consuming is attatch at 1 corner like this
then rotate it many times around that point so it lines up and looks like this
so i tried the glue component feature but im assuming im not getting how to set up the axis and stuff... i dont know if it is due to the fact every track piece is rotating, and has no direct axis point to which i want to connect it to or i dont know.... i get how the feature works when placing windows on walls (vid tutorial i found) but thats when all faces are orientated the same way... i dont understand how to set it so the faces always line up with each other as its rotating and changing angles and stuff...

thanks for the tip, i tried the component with glue but couldnt seem to get it to rotate the right way when placing it again, also it wouldnt let me place the group when trying to connect to an edge of the tracks group... the idea was there but i guess i didnt get it to work right

hi, im working with an already created roller coaster track but am wanting to add extra details, these details are some track connecting nuts, which i can model on 1 cross tie but there are a lot that need the same detail adding... the way im sure a lot of people will think to have done it would be use components but the track was created by a different program and has already been worked with so there are no longer component able parts to it... the other way which is what i want to avoid doing due to how long it will take is just copy the whole tie and then rotate around 1 connected point 3 times (each axis) then delet the tie itself so just the nuts are left, but this would be very time consuming and id like to hope there is an easier way to do this?
