SketchUp does that just by writing text to the status bar. a series of | characters to show progress. You can mimic the same behavior, but you do have to re-write it yourself.

Didier made one I think that worked pretty well? And I think Fredo has a terrain plugin, I'm not sure if it will help here though.

Opening the console, then opening a message box and then using "puts" will work.

Its annoying because you always have to hit enter as SU starts, but it works.

Sure, good point Dave. But you put the negative sign in front of the Celsius numbers, so it was visually confusing to me. Eventually I figured it out, but I never actually noticed that you were typing the phrase "degrees below"....I need to learn better reading comprehension

We were at -11F today (-24C). That's pretty cold for us. We're not getting most of this current chill, just a little bit of the end of it.

Wow, drove past it at lunch, and sure enough its all closed down.

My favorite comment from when this design went public back in 2011:

Closed? Its right down the street from us here. I never noticed it being closed. I'll try to go check it out at lunch today. I don't think its due to the flooding, it should have been safe there. Aaron, do you know anything about it? Can you confirm its actually closed?

If that was the old Advanced Camera Tools plugin, I think the new one might have changed location. You can find it now under the Tools menu.

Tools > Advanced Camera Tools

I don't have a copy of the old version of this though, so I can't verify that what you used to have was really the old ACT though. I've forgotten if that is where it used to install itself.
