SU 2022.
So I have been getting this warning quite a bit lately when trying to open another SU file or create a new one. I am signed in, I have a paid license, nobody else is using it but me, no other SU sessions are open...
I have to close SU and open a new session to go to another file. Annoying.
It seems to only be happening with SU 2022 not 2023. And it seems to have started after I installed 2023 but I cannot say for certain.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
For the application we are designing for the shelter is just for the pickleball. There are other courts adjacent that won't have cover as well.
There are a few free rooms you can use which I have done then there are a bunch of paid for rooms which I have not yet done.
Great news, thanks. I have used ACME for years as well.
I recently built a pickleball court for a local project and wanted to share. Pickleball, if you are not familiar, is a fast growing paddle ball sport here in the US. Not sure about abroad.
This morning I ran into a couple more issues with 2023.
One: objects moved to another tag are not staying there. Nothing I did worked. Even restarting did not fix this issue. This is bad. Hopefully isolated to this one file but still...
Also upon changing scenes the "On Faces" checkbox in the shadows dialog kept unchecking itself. Why?
I work at breakneck speed most of the time and this morning when my boss was over my shoulder (daily) and SU kept glitching out and not working properly I was embarrassed and decided to go back to 2022 for the foreseeable future.

What if you assign a shortcut key to show/hide tray then after startup you launch tray via shortcut key? So never start SketchUp with any trays loading.
That works but only for the default tray. I have 4 total.

So every undocked tray needs to be docked/undocked to force refresh?
Yep.
I just got off the phone with Dave R. and apparently it is a known issue being worked on so I will just deal with it until there is a fix.
Hmmm, seems I need to do that each time I load SU. Not ideal.
Windows 10.
Same settings.
No plugins running that I am aware of. Does this on startup.
Odd thing, I docked each tray then un-docked them and they are working fine now.
Thanks Rich.
I installed 2023 as administrator yesterday then installed a few plugins. After setting them up I am getting this with the trays. And trying to turn on and off layers, unresponsive.
I ran as administrator and just did a repair and still...

Well crap. Some folders show the thumbnails and some don't.
sigh.
I hate mondays
Nevermind. I just reinstalled 2023 as Administrator and it is working, so are the thumbnails.
I am an idiot.
And it is hot here.
So I tried installing SU 2023 and even though our office has a subscription it won't run. Now my thumbnails for 2022 won't show.
I changed the Regedit to
C:\Program Files\SketchUp\SketchUp 2022\ThumbsUp.dll
then restarted my computer but it still won't show.
I am stumped.
And frustrated.
And it is hot here, lol.

Nice Rich
Remember your red bathroom with the weird sink you did in Twilight years ago? Red is such a fun color to play with.
Yep
