    • RE: [Plugin] New Piping System Plugin

I can't find the files this Plugin installed on my Mac. Either they are in some strange location or I don't know what the name of the files are. How do I uninstall these if I don't want it cluttering up my system?

I've looked in Library>Application Support>Google Sketchup 7>Sketchup>Plugins in both the Macintosh HD and User Directories without luck.

    • RE: Help with Toolbars

      Gaieus,

Tried your suggestion and had hopes that it would work, unfortunately all the toolbars came back.

      Oh well....

      Thanks again.

      Remus and Gaieus,

Appreciate both of you jumping in. Obviously this is not a life or death matter just an inconvenience. It would be nice though to know if there is a solution.

    • RE: Help with Toolbars

      Remus,

The problem seems to be whether you close them with the close button on the toolbar or via the view menu, when you shutdown and restart, all of the toolbars show up again and you start all over.

    • Help with Toolbars

Ever since discovering the wonderful world of SU Plugins I have loaded my poor copy of SU with dozens of free and purchased ones and am now getting overwhelmed. By the way I'm using SU7 Pro on a Mac.

Every time I open SU I spend the first few moments closing or rearranging mini toolbars before I can actually get enough room to work.

What I would like to do is to be able to transfer icons for the ones I use most frequently to the main toolbar via the customize window and not have the toolbars supplied with the plugins show up all over the place when I start up.

To get rid of most of these mini toolbars I can go to the Preferences menu and disable the related plugins. However, now they don't appear in the menus or the "customize" window. Additionally some of the plugins cannot be disabled in the preference menu at all since they apparently are made available to the program via some other mechanism.

Is there a way to load these plugins without showing their individual mini toolbars but still have their icons available in the customize window so I can customize my main toolbar?

      Thanks,

      Brian

    • RE: SU save directory

      Galeus,

Thanks for going to the trouble of finding this reference for me. Before writing my request for help, I had also found this reference in the Mac manual. Unfortunately there is nothing in the General Section that allows you to specify a directory that I can find.

Here's a screen capture of the Sketchup Preferences Window showing the General Section.

      The mystery remains!!!!!!!

    • RE: SU save directory

I'm using SU Pro 7 on a Mac and can't find a way to change my default directory. The method suggested here doesn't seem to be available. If I look under Sketchup>Preferences I find a listing for Applications, Drawing, Extensions, General, etc. but nothing for "File". For some reason all my files default to my Download directory and I can't change the default.

If I look under model info it will show the path to the file where the model was saved but there is no way to change the default path here either. I'm at a loss.

      Any help would be appreciated.

    • Are Multiple Line Styles Possible in Same Image?

Is it possible to apply different line styles to different items in a model? If not possible in Sketchup is it possible via Layout or do you have to save out multiple files and then composite them in Photoshop?

    • RE: KitoRaupp's SketchUp Test

Wanted to thank everyone for their help. I've been fooling around with the various methods suggested here for the last couple of days and have learned a lot.

I've tried Solo's method with skin.rb and gotten nice wedges but am having trouble getting the wedge torus to distort nicely after adding the line at the bottom. Can't figure out exactly what my problem is yet.

Chris' model is perfect, it works beautifully.

And Takesh h's detailed and clear instructions are an excellent explanation of what to do. The only problem I had was with Step 6. I kept moving the face straight back to the first circle instead of back and aligned with the bottom of the first circle. This resulted in a wedge with a steep slant that wouldn't align properly when rotate copied. Once I figured out what I was doing wrong everything worked fine.
