I did the two SU Scenes onto two LO layers and at first it showed perfectly well then after going back to it one of the scenes had become a solid form - ie you couldnt see through it to the other scene/layer behind ?
Any idea on why this would happen cos it had me scratching my head for a while - in the end i drew a clipping mask but for the backedges example above this wouldnt be suitable.

RE: ST.1
Thank you Dave.
To correct my earlier post this Line 'characteristic' is covered in the Layout User Manual : Model Settings and Managers : Shape Style.

Layout : Simple Tasks - Clearly Explained
I'm looking to integrate Layout into my workflow and thought it would be useful to setup a topic thread where members can add queries under the guise of Simple Tasks and request a clear and simple explanation, no matter how brain numbingly simple the question might be ??
I'd like to kick it off with this as I simply can't find an answer in the manual, forum or YT..
ST.1 _ How do you draw a coloured line in Layout ?

RE: Scene Tabs
Ok, I've a related query so I'll carry on this thread.
Would it be possible to request that the scene manager has an extended menu with parental group control in pretty much the same way as the styles menu works.
So within the scene manager one could select a group (or multiple groups) from a list eg, 'Modeling Views', 'Construction Elements', 'Construction Documents', 'Interiors', 'Animation', etc.
Within each of the groups one could then save specific scenes eg;
Modeling Views - Level 1, Level 2, Topo On, Topo Off, etc.
Construction Elements - 21_Structure_Walls Ext., 41_Finishes_Walls Ext.,
Construction Documents - North_Elev, South_Elev, L.1 Floorplan, etc
Interiors - Kitchen N_Aspect, Kitchen S_Aspect, etcThis would allow the user to create scene tabs that convey specific information but they can be managed to show only the particular scenes required depending on the task in hand whether that be raw modeling, setting up construction document views or preparing scenes for animations.
The ability to save scenes and their groupings to a template would be great, especially once these are partnered with their corresponding template in Layout.

Scene Tabs
Is it possible to colour code the scene tabs to easily identify a particular single scene or related block of scenes.
Ie use one colour for scenes showing elevations, another for isometric views of the model, another for floorplans ???
