Thanks Charlie, I just posted on the Fredo Portrait thread, I think my message is being currently reviewed.
In the end I did get in touch with the SuSolid software designer David Malnar, and he sent me a new copy of the plugin. All working now 😄 Once again, I thoroughly recommend SuSolid for anyone who's exporting STLs from Sketchup for 3d printing.
