Render Region Division in 3.4?
Hi guys,
I wonder if 3.4 has the 'render region division' option or not. I hate the triangulation and really want to use 'top to bottom'.
So am i missing something or 3.4 really doesnt have this option?
Thanks

How To Make This Vray Material (Fabric)
Hi,
I am currently working on a project and struggling with creating a material. It is silk. In fact very easy to create when it is plain or patternless. But when i try to add patterns on silk fabric, i get close but it is not what i want.
So, can some experienced guys advice me about how to create it?(I attached an image of what i want)
By the way, sometimes sketchup shows the textures as, some kind of vray logo. Do you know why this happens? I attached an image of that too.
Thanks

RE: The file gets bigger and bigger...
Thank you for your answer Jean. Infact i already work very organised. All the models i insert are already components. So copying instances is not a problem. Also no loose geometry or ungrouped objects.
As i searched deeply, i found out that the main problem occurs when i export/import the models.
The 550kb fireplace which i designed in 3ds max becomes 5mb when i export as fbx. And when i import it in sketchup via simlab's fbx importer it becomes 75mb...
I have reported this to both autodesk and simlab. Waiting for an answer if there is an other way of exporting/importing without growing the file like this. -
The file gets bigger and bigger...
Hi, i am Aytac. This is my first post here. Altough i searched the forum deeply, i couldnt find a similar question or satisfying answer to my problem.
My problem is, the file that i work on, gets bigger and bigger and ofcourse slower as i work, altough i dont import models, materials with higher than 512x512 textures or with high polys.
I am now working on an interior scene. The file was less than 7 or 8mb yesterday. Only the walls, floor, ceiling and the windows. No materials or textures.
I just imported an ionic column (as a component and copied three more instances of it.The original size of the column is only about 2mb fbx.) and a fireplace (10mb fbx) and a mirror with a rococo style frame (5mb fbx) via simlabs fbx importer that my brother prepared in 3dsmax before. Than added only the wood flooring, baseboard and some materials, textures etc.
The scene is less than 25 percent completed at the moment and the size of my file is already more than 300mb... (after purge!)
I already work very organised (everything is grouped, made component, divided into layers). Already purged unused etc. And i only have 8 or 9 materials inside the scene and the file size is 300mb!
It is really so annoying. Because it is nearly impossible to work when the file gets so big and as it gets bigger and bigger the performance of my computer drops dramatically. It is a real pain to zoom in or zoom out or move around.
Is there a way to get rid of this problem? What am i doing wrong?
By the way, my computer specs are: i7 4720hq, 16gbram, nvidia gtx960m, 256gb ssd (i use for programs, textures, materials, models, components), 1,5tb hdd (only for archive), win8.1 64bit, sketchup 2015 and vray 2 for render. It is just for use of sketchup, autocad, max etc. when i am outside. Even not for internet, so a very clean system indeed.
I started to lean towards max i think altough i dont want to because my brother can work more and more efficient, fast and easily on max with maybe 100 times more detailed (not exaggerating) scenes.
Thanks in advance.
