I'd like to make a quick presentation of Sketchup for our Architecture school students:

what kind of features do you think i should present (or focus on) ? .how long should the presentation take ? have anyone here already done that for architecture students...etc, any exemples ?

this aspect seems to have been drastically imporved with 7.1 , it's a great move on the right direction...

i've tested some orbiting moving with a large model, and everything was good... working on it will probably confirm this...

good work Google team. keep enhancing this aspect of Sketchup...

Hi everyone!

Sketchup is a wonderful and really an excellent software in many aspects for architects...BUT when it comes to handeling High poly and large models ( urban models for example) ( i'm using all the tricks i've read here or seen from sketchupbasecamp , or go-to-school videos ) ...the same scene in archicad or 3ds is faster and smoother

this must be THE TOP priority for sketchup programmers imho, ( ...ok ...with freeform modeling)...

sketchup7 seems even slower in my pc than sketchup6 !!!

i want to triangulate a shape that i've created ( not necessarely a mesh, as it is possible to triangulate using the sandbox tool)

it must have been discussed before ! but i can't find what i'm looking for...

i've read this topic and i've downloaded this ruby script which doesn't seem to work (it didn't appear in any menu!!!!)

i have a componant which is x in lenght; I've copied this compoent and i want this copy to be shorter...so i explode the copy and i create a new component but there are instances of the first component that i want to transform to the new created one....is this possible ?
