nice. i think an HDRi map would help you out with the flat tree issue. i am also in the first steps of "easy" rendering, despite having made some cool stuff in 3ds max years ago.

did you try searching for a "GMC Sierra"? It's pretty much the same truck

what do you think of the results with Shaderlight compared to other renderers? is there enough "depth" in the image?

also, to increase the effect that a "prison" has on a person, i'd make that hallway at least two times longer..

Just thought I'd post this as an example of what I do in SketchUp. I was looking through some of my recently acquired business cards and found one that I liked.. It had a picture of a small classically-designed building on it. It was inspirational. So I started thinking that it would be cool to design a house that would evoke a similar emotion.

This one is not large. Total square footage is about 2100, not including the conservatory. The emphasis is on proportion and "miniature versions" of grand spaces. It's still a work in progress... but I'm already excited about it so I thought I'd post. Original design, will post floorplans and other stuff later.

Comments/critiques/concerns/questions are always welcome!

Update: Playing around with an NPR techique now, as this is more or less a complete plan.

Your presentation of iClone was amazing. I enjoyed watching it and I had no idea that some of this stuff was possible. I came across some of your 3DBC pictures on Picasa (i think). They were black & white and I noticed that they had been "converted" to "true 3D".

Does this deal with how they were taken or can that property be applied to any rendering we produce out of SketchUp? If so, is this done in iClone or 3dExchange? or both?

Let me know please, I'm trying to figure out which of your products to save up for!!
