RE: IPhone 4S Announced
SIRI is too crazy for me, still... but I'm the last one without a personal smartphone. iphone4s may be the one!

RE: My first Post: My designs
i'd say the composition is excellent. the last image in the first post is my favorite, with the motion. it looks like it can be used in a marketing brochure or advertisement. good work!

RE: Grange Road Surgery
it'd be easier to find someone who can craft such homes in Europe... in the US, it's especially hard to find someone with those skills.. the only one my family has found was a guy that built a TuliKivi for us in an all-American basement.
Everything requires extensive thinking and planning, and it's unfortunately not part of the quick money-making construction strategy anymore.
Great model, by the way... I have a lot of similar-styled ones that are always incomplete
What renderer are you using, by the way?

RE: New Macbook Air: Finally Good for SketchUp?
Csaba,
Thanks for your response. So you dont think it's enough? I was hoping someone else would try that for $1k...
They really push the fact that it's "as powerful as a 2010 MacBook Pro", whatever that may mean... but i guess i may have to wait until the next generation comes out. I'm running on Vista now on a laptop but like the 'coolness factor' of the Mac.

New Macbook Air: Finally Good for SketchUp?
As you may know, the new MacBook Air was released recently by Apple. After not being able to run SketchUp successfully on a previous version, could this one be "THE ONE" to go with for my upgrade?
Columnists and testers have raved that the new Air is just as powerful as a 2010 MacBook Pro... I've never owned a Mac before but this could be the right time to finally make the switch.
What do you guys think?

RE: [Interior] Classic Living Room (2options)
Personally, I like the second one. Great work
I went to your website and it's been "hackeD BY W0LF GH4M3D".... I'd get that checked out

RE: :garden cottage:
stupid question:
is this done with a renderer or is it just sketchup/photoshop output?

RE: Rokit5 gallery
what are you using for the model? did you build it in sketchup?
i think the scale is a little off.... the sinks are small, and the window sills are high... apart from that, everything is great for a newbie.
i agree about the wood texture comments too. learn more, good luck!

RE: Classical Home Design - NPR Update
just posted some NPR images... trying out some techniques & loving the line export overlays. the house design is all original & all components are self-made.

RE: My house project
Speaker,
Very good job on these renders. The only thing that jumps out at me from an architectural standpoint is that the sidewalk texture looks more like a wall texture than a floor texture. The main concern is the grout width. Other than that, excellent work. I like the lighting with Lumion.
EDIT: Ah, found one more thing.. the ramp to the garage. If you still have time to correct this, make the garage door go down to the level of the sidewalk/driveway. There would not be a full-height foundation wall under the garage door in a usual case.
GOOD LUCK! Looks like an "A" to me!

RE: Studio/Guesthouse - Updates
i like this one but i think you need more trim and realism in the roof. some soffits and/or gutters would do the trick

RE: [Plugin] [$] Artisan (1.2.3) - Feb 28, 2014
i have not used SDS before, but i am very much looking forward to this one. i think it will help in creating some great Gehry-like roofs. can't wait for the end of the month!

RE: Design Contest
guys, i'm officially addicted to following the contest. for those that are unfamiliar with it, Jovoto is an excellent platform and there is a lot of competitions going on simultaneously. plus, it's a good place to show some love to fellow sketchuppers

RE: Ithil gallery
Amazing renderings, I love to see classical style in SketchUp.
This is the White House in Moscow, right? The proportions look similar... )
похоже, что это Белый Дом, не правда ли? Хорошие, настоящие русские пропорции! )

RE: White Stairs
[EDIT]: About the render, the lighting is great, but it looks like the tile material is stretched too much. Good overall look but I'd take out the plant and stick with all white/
I like the curved glass, but I think the slope of the stairs is to steep. Also, the run of each step is too small..
It would probably be easiest to do 22.5% for the slope but that's just an example.
Can we see more to this model, or is it only stairs?

RE: A New/Older SketchUp user !
The image in the previous post looks awesome. I'm making a townhouse that is very similar to that also right now.
