RE: What do you or the firm you work for specialize in?
Hi Ron
Attempting to produce the definitive ‘how to do’ dvd on making the through and lapped dovetail.
Including tool fettling, specialist jigs.etc etc In some respects it could be called ‘My secrets to successful dovetailing’The modelling has been fun in Sketch Up. Nearly finished the first draft, then need to skill up in rendering and all the other stuff.
A very interesting project and having great time doing it. Probably my most interesting project to date.

RE: Violent videos on Google TouTube (July 2007)
Hi Guys,
I would just like to say that both CraigD & Modelhead have been excellent contributors to this forum. Such a great pity there has been a misunderstanding. It would appear to me, that CraigD has been been working hard picking up faults that others in this forum have highlighted in the sketchup software, and handing it to the right department within that large organisation to deal with. And reading between the lines, possibily doing a lot more as well behind the scenes to help this forum.
Modelhead has helped many others, including myself, in patiently helping a beginner get thier web page up and running, and with Gideon's model. And I'm sure many more.
They are both excellent individuals, brought plenty to the table and will be sadly missed.
The problem with written matter, is sometimes things are not clear, and perceptions can be wrongly made.
I just hope this matter can be resolved.
Their input, in my view, is greatly valued, and will be greatly missed.
cheers
Alan.

RE: Question on contributions here
Hi Jerry,
There is a great difference in knowledge and skill in this forum and that is one of its great strenghts. Cannot see any problem posting here from your server. If you are willing to share sketchup files that would be extremely helpful to some.I think as more woodworkers get into sketchup, even Fine Woodworking is doing it now, the more people will be able to benifit from your models.
A fellow woodie

RE: Tall Chest
Thats a rather large project.
That would look rather nice using some of Todd wood, ripple something.
