RE: Insane Roof
Hi guys,
BuildEdge PLAN can do a different slope on every side of the roof, if desired. Each side of the roof has its own slope. Heel height or overhang.
Unfortunately, I am out of the office and cannot post a picture of a roof, but I will try to get an image up in the next day or two.
Please let me know if you have any more questions about our plugin, or, if you like, let me know about the roof that you need to model and I can give you my thoughts.
Thanks!

RE: [Plugin]BuildEdge PLAN 1.0
Hi Thomas,
Sorry to hear you were having installation issues. It looks like our Help Desk is in touch with you, though. In fact, it looks like Rick in our office has emailed you and is waiting to hear back.
Unfortunately, we are limited as to the hours that we can offer support, but most issues that come in through the website are adressed within an hour (or, if the issue comes in at night, or over the weekend, we try to respond right away the next business morning).
Anyhow, please let em know if you have any issues with our software once you are up and running!
Thanks!

RE: ....some further thoughts on the new SketchUp Logo!
You know... it is really growing on me... after seeing the full size, glowing model... I think I like it!
Also... I think that we SHOULD have a "Beating a Dead Horse" emoticon.

RE: [Plugin]BuildEdge PLAN 1.0
Hi TIG,
Sorry if anything I or Orhun said came back as suggestion that YOU did anything bad. Orhun was just posting the suggestion that it seems to be related to a SketchUp bug (the file he posted is an empty observer).
We will be pointing this issue out to SketchUp (or Trimble... I am never sure how to refer to the company, as opposed to the software nowadays), as you suggested. In the meantime, thank you for the references to proper observer use. We will take a look at those topics and, hopefully, optimize our code in the future!
Thanks!

RE: [Plugin]BuildEdge PLAN 1.0
Thanks, TIG! I will pass this along to the developers.
Thanks!

RE: BuildEdge PLAN for Mac Available (Beta)
Hi all!
We have been developing/testing primarily on Mountain Lion. We have done some testing on Lion, and have not seen huge issues, but we cannot guarantee that it will work 100% on Lion.
As for the cursors (having the orbit or arrow cursor while drawing, for example), this is an issue in either version fo OS that we are working on.
Please let me know, either in this topic or via PM what you think, or if you see any problems.
Thanks!

BuildEdge PLAN for Mac Available (Beta)
Hi all,
After a whole lot more work on our part than we were expecting, we have (mostly) finished the Mac port of buildEdge PLAN!
You can download your own Beta copy of BuildEdge PLAN here: http://www.buildedge.com/PlanMacBeta.htm.
There are one or two issues that we know about and are working through. The first being an issue with cursors. In order to get PLAN to load, you will need to turn on "Enable access for assistive devices" in Accessibility (via System Preferences).
Please grab a copy, load it on your Mac and let me know what you think!
Thanks!

RE: Latest Sketchup release doesn't support extension rbz files
I have seen this as well... Newest version of OS and newest version of SketchUp and RBZs not installing all the time. Seems hit or miss, though.

RE: [Request] A practical WALL tool
Good news! We are running the Mac version through it's final (pre-beta) paces. I will be launching a Beta version first thing next week!
It has been a long road... but I can see an apple-shaped light at the end of the tunnel!

RE: Anti-Aliasing on a Windows VM on Mac
I have noticed the "jump" but the smooth lines offset that annoyance (for me). I don;t know that it has had any impact on performance, though. Are you seeing any?

RE: [Request] A practical WALL tool
Edson - We will be rolling out a Beta version for Mac in the next week or so (I know I keep saying this, but this time I am serious! I even have a pre-release version running on my Mac right now!).
I will PM you as soon as I can release it!

RE: Anti-Aliasing on a Windows VM on Mac
Certainly!
- Choose "Window > Ruby Console" to open the Ruby Console
- type the following into the console: Test.set_AA_method(4) ...and hit Return.
- The console should echo back to you something like: 0 ...indicating the previous anti-aliasing setting was "0x"
- Quit SketchUp and restart. All SketchUp windows will now have 4x anti-aliasing enabled.
This was something that I found on a forum some time ago. It was originally a reply posted Bu John Bachus (just making sure to give credit where it is due!)
Thanks!

RE: Anti-Aliasing on a Windows VM on Mac
That's what I was afraid of... my graphics options include a single option (3D).
Oh well... Just gonna have to migrate to Mac!

Anti-Aliasing on a Windows VM on Mac
Hi all,
So, I finally got my mac, and, for the time being, I need to run SketchUp in Windows via Fusion. My problem comes in the fact that SketchUp looks like CRAP!
On standard Windows, I can set the AA level in Preferences, but in the VM, I have only one option:
I found how to set the AA level via Ruby on the Mac and was wondering if there is anything similar for windows. Has anyone else run into anything like this:
Thanks!
