Leopard hang fix

My Macbook Pro T9300 2.5Ghz,4GB RAM, VGA 8600M GT,Leopard 10.5.7 run SU 6 & 7 very slow,in rotate,move,....(working on a large model).I try Thawup,maybe it not work, I don't see different.
In Window,SU run smooth!! Maybe VGA driver support for MAC not good!
Any ideas ??? -
Hi Lehieu, you can try updating your Mac video card drivers directly from the video card makers website. Also, there's no need to write in bold like that. We can all read it even easier if its plain type. Thanks

there is no update for mac drivers at the makers' site. it seems that only PC drivers can be updated.

right. nvidia, for instance, doesn't develop OS X drivers and they are provided by apple. The driver updates are included with the normal software updates.
It's probably just a case of a big SU model acting sluggish and lehieu didn't actually say the same exact model is smooth with windows but not on his mac..
i'd be interested in knowing how large the model is (model info->stats) -

i'd be interested in knowing how large the model is (model info->stats)there is also the issue of model organisation. if he does not use layers and scenes to organise the model and its visualisation no graphics card will be able to handle it.

I was reinstall MAC OS 10.5.6 (come back from 10.5.7) and install SU7,SU6,ThawUp (Thawup is only install in SU6 folder).Sketchup on MAC OSX still working slow (in rotate,view...action,fps is down). In Win,it's faster,smooth (on large model). I don't know the problem ?? Who can help me??

Just installed it. You total star! I've lived with is bug so long I've got used to it.
I'm usually just grateful if SketchUp doesn't crash. It's a great program but massively unstable on Mac OS which is a huge shame.
Your patch has speeded up performance on big files amazingly too.

Sketch Up still hanging after install on OSX 10.5.7. Thaw Up seems to work for me and sometimes not. It's extremely frustrating when I am trying to do a project. I've done the Leopard graphics update at 10.5.2 and installed Thaw Up shortly after. The problem really hasn't seemed to go away all up to now. Any ideas?

SMC Version (system): 1.31f0I am working on a very basic sketchup model, I get a long lag time when I selected an area with the rectangle tool. I tried the Thawupinstallerbut it did not seem to help. Anyone know anything else that could be the root of this problem? Since I'm using SU7 will this not work for it? Thanks.

I'm experiencing hangs as well; the usually occur when trying to select a line. The hangs take about 10 seconds. They occur only when "Hardware acceleration" is ticked in Preferences. Installing the ThawUp patch did not help.

i got pretty frustrated to see that my old p4 pc running sketchup on winxp easily outperforms my macbook due to the mentioned freezes...
disabling fast feedback only did not help. if i disable hw acceleration, the freezes vanish. but of course you get visibly better performance using the patch. (btw, rotating large structures without hw accel on the mac looks about as "smooth" as with hw accel on the mentioned pc with geforce fx 5200 go)details:

running SketchUp 7 (7.0.10938) on Mac OS X 10.5.8i wonder if 10.6 works any better - according to http://developer.apple.com/graphicsimaging/opengl/capabilities/ opengl implementetion has been worked on since 10.5.8 (version 2.0 for gma x3100 and 1.4 for gma 950 instead of 1.2 for both in leopard).
