Add Location:
I managed to add a 3D terrain model to an area using “Add Location.” It’s very quick and easy to do.
The terrain data comes from „OpenStreetMap“, right?
OpenStreetMap also includes “OpenKataster” here in Germany, right?I’d like to overlay the cadastral boundaries as a layer/tag on the 3D image from „Add Location“. That would save me a lot of time.
Would this be difficult to implement this as a SketchUp feature or an extension?
Or is it already possible and I just haven’t found it yet?Kind regards,

Did you try https://maps3d.io/ ??

Wow!
I didn't expect something like this!
Thank you very much!
I'll play around with it in order to get used to it.
That really is phantastic. -
Unfortunately that doesn't seem to work (properly).
I made some screenshots:
I've circled around some terrain-errors.
The yellow colour of activated elements is unfamiliar but can surely be changed.
But what is a CThumbnail (540330) error?
AND I can't store the model. (I'm on SU 2026)!

Sounds like an import error. Could be the size of the area and its distance from world origin causing issues.
There's a few options out there like https://www.map2model.de/ or https://miniskyline.com/map
Or if you are feeling brave you could try QGIS: https://qgis.org/
It has tons of addons to help create all types of georeferenced maps/meshes but it does require you to put in some hours learning.
