Here i have tested an SKP import! (not made with SketchUp but SKP file)

Request : can whe have a Drag & Drop of compatible files inside ModLumi ?
And an automatic rescale of the import file ! Because here maybe one hundred too little!

Follow red not ModLumi !

ModLumi on the right but I don't gave the same chance to it !
Not the same number of faces! (less that i can made : )

New in Modlumi: copy arrays with progressive scaling

You can now combine Move or Rotate with Copy and scaling to create progressively smaller or larger copies.

The GIFs show two examples:

Move + Copy: enter x6 80% to create six copies, each 80% of the previous size. The spacing scales too.

Rotate + Copy: make a first copy at 30°, then enter x12 90% to create twelve copies that shrink around the same pivot, forming a spiral.

Tap Ctrl while using Move or Rotate to enable Copy, place the first copy, then type the count and scale and press Enter.

With that, infinite space geometry is open!
You have a very reactive productivity!
Now Boolean! If seems not yet integrated when you compose 2 volumes! (or more)

This works but Not if we draw the true diagonal at the start!!! (Bug ? )
(or maybe because i select also the behind little vertical edge of the second box by error?
Edit : in fact not works : the Push here is only an erase!

@pilou Thanks for testing this! I tried to reproduce it, but couldn't break it yet.

Could you post the .modl file (File → Save As) or a GIF of the true diagonal case where it goes wrong? Then I can chase it down.

Booleans are on the list too.

Your Move Copy Rotate */ % is a killer one!

Modlumi 0.10 is out: guides, Intersect Faces and solid booleans

Modlumi 0.10 is live at https://modlumi.com/app. Many of these changes started as requests and bug reports in this thread, most of them from @pilou. Thank you!

Guide lines and guide points

Measure (T) now places guides. Click an edge, then click again to place a parallel guide line, and type a distance to set the exact offset. Start on a corner or other point to place a guide point, or double-click an edge to place a guide along it. Guides can be selected, moved, copied, erased and hidden like other geometry, and the drawing tools snap to where a guide crosses an edge.

Intersect Faces

Edit › Intersect Faces (also in the right-click menu) has With Model, With Selection and With Context. Edges are added wherever faces cross, the faces are split, and only the new edges are selected.

Solids: check, volume and booleans

Select a group or component, and Properties tells you whether it is solid and shows its volume.

Combine Solids › Union, Subtract and Intersect combine two solid groups or components into a new group. Faces keep their materials, and the seams where the solids met are merged.

Drag and drop

Drag a .skp or .modl file onto Modlumi to open it, in the browser or on the desktop. If you have unsaved changes, Modlumi asks first. Models without a saved view open framed to fit, like Zoom Extents.

Fixes

• Extruding a plate whose holes are filled with their own faces keeps its base. Before, the slab was left open underneath.
• Rectangle, Circle and Polygon now draw on the face you snapped to at corners and edges, instead of jumping to a neighbouring wall.
• Drawing a closed outline around edges that cross a face, such as around a post standing through a floor, now cuts a hole.
• Copies placed over imported models keep all their faces.
