Sketchucation Tools v5.04 hangs on SU 2025 and 2026 on iMac Pro, but not M2 mac

On Mac Sequoia
The sketchucation store does not work for me in either SU 2025 nor 2026 -- on an iMac pro (2017), but does work on M2 laptop. Both running Sequoia macOS.On the iMac Pro:
- In the midst of trying to upgrade from SU 2024 to SU 2026, I kept getting startup hangs. Cleared out the plugins directory (erased everything), SU 2026 starts fine.
Install Sketchucation Tools V5.0.4. Restart SU 2026, hang, spinning beachball.
One time I installed Sketchucation Tools and did not restart SU, so I was able to try the search function in the store. Clicking on the search icon results in a spinning beachball, the search dialog never comes up.
-
in SU 2025, the sketchucation store search dialog comes up but entering "libfredo" in the search bar gives spinning beach ball.
-
In my SU 2024 installation, I have Sketchucation store v4.4.0 installed, and it works. Hesitant to install v5.04 for testing.
-
I decided to test Sketchucation on SU 2026 on an M2 laptop, also running Sequoia (15.7.2). Much to my surprise, Sketchucation store runs just fine there.
Any ideas how to make the installations on the iMac Pro work? Where to look for sources of trouble? (Again, I started out by completely trashing the plugins folders before installing Sketchucation. )

Does the Ruby console display any error messages?
In case of the search hang: Could you right-click at the dialog, from the context menu select dev-toos and see if the WEB console has any error messages?Thank you in advance.

Does your set up meet the requirements listed here ?
https://help.sketchup.com/en/sketchup/system-requirements
The fact that it runs OK on a similar machine suggests that something is 'missing' in the set up with the problems - hardware or software ?
