@TIG The issue I'm trying to avoid with using the Outliner, is the amount of visual searching, scrolling, and clicking that is required. I have to know and look for the name of not just the Group or Component I want to edit but also it's top level parent, and any child Group(s) or Component(s) it's part of. Which is something that's not always easy even when everything is logically named and arranged, both in the model itself and in the Outliner, let alone when I've been lazy and have a bunch of Groups all named "Group" or numerous variations of "Component#123".

I do want to stress though, that the issue I'm trying to avoid is not solved by naming everything properly... I still have the issue when working on my models that are meticulously organised.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to hold down a keyboard key, such as Alt, and then click on what I want to open for editing. Some of the Plugins I've found so far, require the use of the context menu and one or more submenus. Or they have you use one of the dropdown menus on the title bar area. Again, that's something I'd like to avoid if possible.

Seems really useful, didn't know about that. I'll try it.

Many thanks for introducing me to this extension which allows me to edit materials on faces deeply buried in groups or components.

Is VBO Jump to level stable on your machine? I had a first crash with SU 2024, but it's very good, otherwise

Thanks, FlorinAp, Curic to level is great, I assigned the letter U to it as a keyboard shortcut.

Hello, I have these geometric shapes appearing in my rendering, I don't understand why. I've checked: I don't have any hidden objects. My RS version is 0.9.71

It's fixed, sorry... a tag was hidden, a remnant of the DWG file
