Render from WIP.

No, not a James Bond or James Bondage even, film.
This image showcases the smoothing process and is a partial clay image in passing.
Another Affinity with LUT post pro.

Wow! Nice!
-
Ta mate, Twilight still pump out the good stuff.
-
Gradually moving this on, there are numerous changes but very slow progress. The hubcap proved to be a pain and a half but not quite there yet and gradually straightening panels, sub dividing etc.
All Twilight in this, just reduced the saturation to -30.
-
Just wow!

@Mike-Amos
Great job -
Great car model and very cool render experiments.
-
Ta folks, this came about from an accident. I forgot to add texture to the infinite plain/shadow catcher and the actual hdri is not shown in this view.
-
BOAHHH and even at this stage, an outstanding piece of work in every respect!
How great it looks that you are combining (however?!) this AO look with parts that are "normally" rendered -
Very nice work, @Mike-Amos - I'm curious to know if you are getting good results with Rayscaper as well.
Cheers,
Thomas -
Thanks mate, the AO look is the accident, a random positive that just happened due to oversight. Other angles show the hdri which is bloody odd tbh but some angles leave it out and this is how it turns out.

Not so far but I am still experiencing issues with my hardware.
Chillblast will not RTU for repair unless I accept they have no liability for lost data on any drive. Losing data on the OS drive has always been a non issue but to claim I must backup the data and then tell me I have to voluntarily allow them to delete the backup too is beyond my understanding.
The basis for this model in on the wired wheels club site. https://wirewheelsclub.com/models/ for anyone who wants toi give it a try.
Some of my smoothing efforts are failing but slowly slowly etc.

@Mike-Amos
Moving on, trying to find good Connoly leather textures so I have asked the company direct, we shall see what I find out.Slightly different angle. Thge speedboat deck is a link to the boat tail style of this particular car I will wait to see how it pans out.
-
Yeah, this is marvelous!
P.S. I've sent you a message. Check the PM when you have time.

Wow, those models are gorgeous!
-
I am lost here, is that your model?
-
No mate, not mine, I am just 'detailing' it.
Most models online that come from 3ds max etc are a proper 'mare' to use but these are pretty good when your pc is behaving itself.
My models tend to be of a similar base, around an 11' by 5.5' by 2.5'/3' dimensions. An engine of between 1.2 and 2 litres and sometimes with a turbocharger and electircal additions. These huge monsters are just for detailing and render practice.

@Mike-Amos Nice work mate
