SCFLicense: Extension Licensing on Sketchucation
-
This is strange... but maybe your computer was used with FredoCorner last year. Otherwise< I would not understand why you get this early expiration.
-
hi, i had to reinstall sketchup, but i remember to release the license first, but it still shows that i'm using one license, that is not true, how can i correct that?

Well. It seems you already installed and used FredoCorner around End of January 2021.
I had the same issue with FredoScale, but I've already bought it, however, I can't use because can't login Extention Store inside Sketchup and consequently I can't validate it
I beg you to help me with my issue or I'll request refund of plugin purchased recently.
-
Can somebody help me on how to solve this issue please...

Hi Fredo,
I try your instruction. But it doesnt work.Apparently, you were you able to activate the license for Clothworks. Can you confirm?
Could you try the following.
- Go to the folder that you showed in your image
- Delete the file "SCFLicenseSignature...."
- Try again the procedure
- You will have to reactivate the license for Clothworks from the purchased license file.
Fredo
I tried this so many times, but that file keeps appearing when i click validate on any fredo plugins and comes out errors. i have bought a package of licenses. Please help
-
Hi,
Are you using the right license file to validate? The error message suggests a name mismatch is happening

I posted this in the Trimble forum and it was recommended that I post it here so I would get notification of any developments:
Is there or will there be an option for corporate customers requiring many licenses to purchase a corporate key or perhaps blocks of licenses? Managing individual licensing per user account is a nightmare for IT admins. PayPal is also a non-starter at a lot of businesses.
I see that there is another payment processor in the works but I don't see anything specific to bulk licensing which is really our issue. I can work around PayPal if I have to. Any information about future plans is appreciated.

Hi Derek,
We are discussing how to handle bulk licensing/sales and should have some more info next week.

@Rich O Brien
FYI your PayPal processor wouldn't accept my corporate card for payment.

Yes the whole licensing for corporate users is a huge issue. I work for a company which is one of Sketchup's largest user bases and for us this process is untenable/unsupportable. Most users are not allowed administrative access and individual buying is not desirable and is frowned upon from an IT Asset management perspective.
Additionally receiving separate emails for each one is another less than ideal means of dealing with the licenses.
LOVE the products, the licensing process for these great products is far far far less than ideal, don't even get me started on S4u and that calamity of licensing which is effectively useless.
Thanks
Karl

Hi - looking for information/help on resetting licensing?
I have 3 occupied seats - currently don't have access to two of the machines I put the licenses on - is it possible to remote reset/wipe the licenses? -

Send an email to support[at]sketchucation.com with your details so we can look up your license.

I am having trouble with my license. I have a paid valid license but an error came up saying my trial period had finished. I was stuck because of a deadline, so i purchased another license. this didn't solve my problem though. Attached is the screenshot to show the errors i am receiving
Has anyone got any ideas on what may be causing this?
Regards

Are you running the latest version of Sketchucation Tools? v4.2.4
-
@Jimbobwild
Your SCF licensing dialog [top-left] shows v4.1a, but the current licensing regime included with the latest SketchUcation Toolset is v5.3a !
You need to update the Toolset... -
Has anyone get a $9,20 tax charge from Paypal or am I the only one?

Yes, a VAT of 23% (Ireland) is added to the price. The normal procedure (as a business) would be to be able to enter your VAT ID, so that you don't have to pay the VAT. But Sketchucation does not offer this option. So the plugin bundle costs $49,20 in the EU.

VAT is obligatory to add within the EU. PayPal allows users to add relevant business info to their account so VAT on B2B is not applied where applicable. If you do not have a business PayPal account just send an email to support[at]sketchucation.com and we can generate an invoice so you can claim the VAT back in your country.

As far as i know the procedure to get VAT back afterwards is very laborious and i think not even possible for such small payments.
Like i said, the normal process is to get your VAT ID checked, so that you don't have to pay it in the first place.
