      Hello all!

Since V-ray 3.5 every time I try to use Object ID it renders black! Before that was everything ok, but now I can't use this render element. (Material ID is normal)

Does anyone have the same problem? What could it be?

      Thank you!

        Hi.
Click on the material in the material list of the vray panel.
Then go to the material options on the right (click on the arrow).
Next, click on Options, and Color.
Now you will be able to change the black ID Color by the wished color.

Edit : my bad, didn't see you was talking about ObjectID. My instructions were for the MaterialID render.

For those who also are looking for some answers, I found that you can use Render ID instead of Object ID to achieve the same result. It's working for me.

          Thank you!

If you select an object in your sketchup model and then right click, at the bottom of the list you will find Vray Object ID which you can then use to assign values to various objects in you scene. Then if you have an object id render element you will see object rendered a color based on the value you assigned them. The colors are randomly assigned but everything you assign as 1 will be the same color. It takes some fiddling with and I find that material id usually does the job better but you never know when this would come in handy.
