Is there a way to add "Glue" to an existing component
I do NOT want to collapse the component first as it has complicated Estimating language and formulas attached to it that i will loose if I collapse the component
    Thanks

By "collapse" do you mean explode?

You can edit an In Model component's gluing properties in the Edit tab of the Component's window.

        No need to explode.
Find the component definition in the Component Browsers 'Model' tab.
        Select it and Edit it.
You can now add [or remove] Gluing and Cutting behavior [check-boxes/dropdowns].
Note that this will not 'glue' any previously place instances, but the new ones will 'glue' etc.

You might need to reset a component-instance's axes so 'blue' is out of the glued-to face...

You can always 'un-glue' a glued instance by selecting it and using the context-menu item.

There are a few plugins which can 're-glue' selected component-instances - e.g. mine - where you select the gluing-instance[s] and a suitable face, and then run the tool - then that face gets the instance[s] glued onto it. http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=Re_Glue

Thomthom also made a similar tool: http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=tt_superglue

Can you be explicit as to where the model tab or edit tab is
I cant find them, i do see entity info tab but there are no options there for glue
